Luna Player 1.4.8CC (beta)

Beta: Luna Player 1.4.8CC. Installed Luna offers it only with betas turned on (Settings › General › Updates). For everyone else, 1.3.9 stays the current version.

New

• "Worth watching?" › Letterboxd + AI: one button reads the film's most popular Letterboxd reviews (50 by default) and has an AI sum them up for you:
  • the overall feeling, a "for you" paragraph from your preferences, what is praised and criticised, "you'll like it if / skip it if", and a note per topic;
  • the average star rating and the number of spoiler reviews;
  • the same reviews also go to the local keyword scan;
  • the AI is told not to reveal spoilers and to use only what the reviews say.
• Settings › Accounts and keys › Review analysis:
  • choose its own AI (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, a base URL, or the same as the assistant) and model;
  • how many reviews to read (10–100);
  • an extra instruction.

Fixed

• OpenAI / Claude:
  • "Couldn't reach the assistant … error sending request" is fixed.
  • The cause: some of their servers use a certificate issuer that was missing from Luna's built-in list. Luna now also trusts Windows' own certificate store.
  • Connection errors now show their real cause.
