• Luna Web, a browser inside Luna:
  • Tabs, favourites, tab search (Ctrl+Shift+A), reorder, duplicate, reopen closed tabs (Ctrl+Shift+T), saved tab groups.
  • Translate a page, summarise it or ask about it. On a YouTube video the assistant reads the video's subtitles, so the summary is about what is said.
  • Downloads are allowed: a Downloads drop-down in Tools with Open and Show in folder (programs and scripts are only shown in their folder).
  • Browser extensions: put an unpacked Chrome/Edge extension into the extensions folder (Tools › Extensions) and new tabs load it.
  • Web notebook: a reading queue and page notes, with "continue where I stopped".
• Books: cover and details search (ISBN or title and author; Open Library, then Google Books), several shelves, "To read", a reading plan, a quote notebook, reading history search and export.
• Music: playlists can be made, imported, exported, copied and sorted; queue editing; audiobooks remember the chapter and position.
• Films: filters for release period and lowest TMDB score, comfortable or dense posters, search across title, year and cast.
• Assistant: quick AI profile picker, short / balanced / detailed answers, copy a message, edit and resend a question, search inside the chat, export the chat as Markdown, "Back to the latest message".

Fixed

• Luna Web's assistant bubble failed to open (WebView2 0x8007139F) and stayed under the page; the Tools menu no longer turns the page black.
• Switching films no longer writes one film's position onto the other; the next episode no longer jumps to a second copy of the same episode.
• Shuffle with the same song twice, cancelled library scans, radio and podcast retries, backup restore checks.
• The assistant bubble sits a little higher.

• Taste for books and music, like films:
  • A "My taste" tab in Music and Books (after the library), with the full taste profile films have: taste map, topic weights, favourite genres / authors / artists, rating spread or listening hours, most played, gaps.
  • Songs have a thumbs-up and thumbs-down on every row and ask "out of 10?", like films.
  • Liked or disliked books and songs get six-topic scores and genres from the AI once (twenty per short message, only for new ones), so a plain like teaches the taste map. Films are unchanged.
• Letterboxd: your own Letterboxd updates itself once a day and follows changes there (changed or removed ratings, removed hearts; ratings given in Luna stay). Missing genres come from TMDB.
• Assistant:
  • When a song plays on another part's page, the chat shows it and lets you pick it or a general chat.
  • "Find songs like this" opens a songs card: make a new list or grow an existing one.
• Reader: volume drop-down in the music popup; popups fade out.
• Same tab order everywhere: home, discover, library, taste/recommendations, then each part's own tabs.

Fixed

• Luna Analiz: Stop sits beside the running button, as big as it; the reading animation is smoother.
• Big player: the small assistant no longer covers the timeline; the mouse back button closes it.

• "Worth watching?" › Letterboxd + AI: one button reads the film's most popular Letterboxd reviews (50 by default) and has an AI sum them up for you:
  • the overall feeling, a "for you" paragraph from your preferences, what is praised and criticised, "you'll like it if / skip it if", and a note per topic;
  • the average star rating and the number of spoiler reviews;
  • the same reviews also go to the local keyword scan;
  • the AI is told not to reveal spoilers and to use only what the reviews say.
• Settings › Accounts and keys › Review analysis:
  • choose its own AI (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, a base URL, or the same as the assistant) and model;
  • how many reviews to read (10–100);
  • an extra instruction.

Fixed

• OpenAI / Claude:
  • "Couldn't reach the assistant … error sending request" is fixed.
  • The cause: some of their servers use a certificate issuer that was missing from Luna's built-in list. Luna now also trusts Windows' own certificate store.
  • Connection errors now show their real cause.

  • paste reviews or import a TXT/JSON file;
  • Luna sorts what they say by topic: story, pace, acting, visuals, characters, music. It is a local keyword scan; nothing is sent anywhere, and the community score and your own signal stay apart.
  • separate film and series preferences, mood weights and warnings;
  • like/dislike with reasons, a history of the last 8 scans, and a review draft from your notes;
  • JSON export.
• Read aloud: volume and mute in the reading bar; the assistant's volume and mute commands reach the reading voice.

Fixed

• Music:
  • pausing while a YouTube song loads keeps it paused;
  • stale retries and skips can no longer start another song.
• Read aloud:
  • a voice error stops reading instead of skipping unread text;
  • no restart after Stop;
  • bad speed or voice settings are cleaned.
• Books:
  • notes are kept per file, so two editions with the same title don't share notes. Old notes stay and can be copied on request.
  • a failed save keeps the editor open and shows an error;
  • broken notes can't crash the reader;
  • book search no longer shows old results.
• Dependency: the EPUB reader's XML library was updated (@xmldom/xmldom 0.8.15).

• Small window: leaving full screen no longer blows the window back up to the size of the screen (a 1.4.3 bug).
• Backup and restore: a wrong-shaped backup, a full storage or a failed save no longer wipes or half-restores your data.
• API keys: a key that can't be saved or deleted now shows an error.
• Collections: the right year, episode and book open; YouTube songs play; two collections can't share a name.
• Updates: the beta and auto-check switches are respected; a retry after a failed download works.
• Read aloud: pause, speed, voice, "stop at chapter end" and resume fixed; only listened time is counted.
• YouTube: a broken direct link falls back instead of looping.
• Letterboxd: remakes stay apart (Dune 1984 / 2021), "hide watched" knows years, fake addresses and bad star values are rejected, no wrong posters.

• The same look on every screen: on screens narrower than 1920 points (for example Windows scaling at 125% or 150%), Luna zooms out a little so text, spacing and the top bar sit as on a 1920-wide screen. To turn it off: Settings › "Fit the layout to the screen". The top bar's labels fold away only when the tabs don't fit.
• Full screen on first start: Luna opens full screen the first time on a computer; F11 leaves it.
• The assistant opens big: the big workspace is the default. In the small bubble each title now has the same ⋯ menu (Watched, Liked, Disliked, Watch later, Trailer) instead of the old tick box.

Fixed

• Taskbar: a window that came back taller than the screen is now shrunk to fit above the taskbar. Before, the taskbar covered the assistant's input.
• Full screen: the ⛶ / ✕ buttons only appear at the very top edge, so they no longer block the "Recommendations" tab.
• Assistant with OpenAI, Claude or a base URL:
  • It now reads your and your friends' Letterboxd.
  • Before, any message that mentioned Letterboxd was sent to the "film links" tool.
  • It knows the Letterboxd addresses and uses your notes, diary and lists.
  • Trivia questions keep Luna's tools.
• Releases: every change is now built and tested on GitHub (CI), and each release is checked live: downloads, checksums and the updater file.

• Where are your films? With no library folder yet, the home screen asks for one right away.
• Films and series apart: the Folders page has film folders and series folders. In a series folder each show is its own folder, "Season 2" is the season, and "03 - Pilot.mkv" is the episode.
• The same film twice: copies sit side by side ("2 copies"), and the film's page lets you pick which one to watch (quality, subtitles, size).
• SRT badge: a video with a subtitle file next to it shows "SRT" beside its quality.
• Rename files in Luna: right-click › Rename file… (its subtitles are renamed too, where you stopped is kept). The assistant can do it as well.
• F11 everywhere, with a short "Full screen · F11 to leave" note each time Luna goes full screen.
• The assistant on other AIs: besides Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, or any OpenAI-compatible server at a base URL (OpenRouter, Groq, a local Ollama / LM Studio…).
• Letterboxd:
  • any form of link or just the user name;
  • a progress card while it reads;
  • all of a friend's watched films;
  • "This is my profile" saves your own watched films, ratings and watchlist;
  • "Hide what I watched" hides them in friends' lists.

Luna Player 1.3.9CC. From this version on, Luna finds and installs new versions by itself (Settings › General). Coming from 1.0.x or 0.2.x: download the installer below once; your library and settings stay.

• Three parts: Film, Music (your library, radio, podcasts, synced lyrics) and Books (EPUB, PDF, comics, free classics, read aloud, audiobooks).
