Setup of hardware with requirements

hardware setup

  • PC with python installed
  • Software Defined Radio used the hardware LimeSDR with frequency range from 100 kHz up to 3,8 GHz
  • Pre-Amplifier is the BGY587B in use. It is designed to operate from a few kHz to to 550 MHz.
  • Power Amplifier for use up to 100W. It is designed to operate from 75 MHz to to 140 MHz.
  • Transcoupler is selected to operate from 80 MHz to 140 MHz.
  • Directional Coupler is designed to operate from 20 MHz to 800 MHz.
  • Sample Coil with Tuning and Matching Network
  • Low Noise Amplifier is selected to operate from 50 MHz to 4 GHz.

The following figure shows all components up to the PC to control the system. all components Additional a detailed view of the SDR and its near periphery. SDR and Periphery

Check

  • now open coax connection
  • Right voltages set in the power supply
  • intended sequence selected dependent on the set up hardware

Introduction

  • Pull repo to local PC
  • open cmd
  • run start.py
  • GUI should start
  • set experiment file structure
  • add comments to the Experiment and Data
  • "save and close"
  • select type of sequence
  • save parameter
  • questioned material
  • Arduino connections
  • tune and match
  • SDR connections
  • first run
