Log for Linux 0.3.0
The macros learn RTTY: the same F-key strip, ESM and Ctrl+K free-text window that key CW now key the radio's native direct-FSK RTTY through sdr-for-linux — dispatched by the log-mode dropdown, and nothing else about the macro workflow changes.
Highlights
- RTTY contest messaging over the TCI
rtty_macrosfamily: with the log mode on RTTY, the F1–F8/ESM macros and the Ctrl+K free-text window key the radio's RTTY generator (45.45 Bd FSK on the radio side) - Cut numbers stay a CW convention — in RTTY the digits go out verbatim (599, not 5NN); automatic, no new setting
- Esc is a panic key in both modes — every stop site fires both the CW and the RTTY stop; stopping an idle generator is a no-op, so the wrong queue can never keep running
- Mode pre-fill from the radio now recognizes RTTY — when the SDR switches to RTTY, the mode dropdown follows instead of going stale
- Hand-typed callsigns are upper-cased as you type
- New application icon — Papirus-style redesign, plus a 16×16 symbolic variant per the GNOME HIG
RTTY keying needs sdr-for-linux with the rtty_macros TCI extension (≥ f38aafd); older builds ignore the command and nothing transmits. Verification status, stated plainly: the whole path is covered by the offline gates (mock TCI radio, 10/10) and the radio side has live-keyed clean FSK — the first on-air macro-keyed RTTY QSO from this logbook is still ahead.
