Is PaperProxy made by PaperMC? No. It is an independent fork of Velocity and not affiliated with or endorsed by PaperMC.

Will my BungeeCord plugin work? Most do. Check with the Plugin Checker. Plugins that change the Netty pipeline or read packets do not. See BungeeCord Plugins.

Can I go back to Velocity? Yes. Swap the jar back. Your velocity.toml and Velocity plugins are untouched.

Which Java version? Java 25, like current Velocity.

Which client versions? The same as Velocity. With /pp via install you can add ViaVersion for more.

Is it stable? 1.2.1 is the first release. Everything is tested on a test network, also with real clients, but not yet on large production networks. Please report problems.

Why is the jar so small? The small jar downloads its libraries on the first start and checks each file against its SHA-256. Use the -full jar for servers without internet access.
