Release list
NotchNull 1.4.5
Fixed
- The notch no longer fails to appear right after an update. macOS asks again for Bluetooth access, and the app waited on that prompt before creating any window; the first Bluetooth call is now made in the background.

NotchNull 1.4.4
Fixed
- The notch no longer fails to appear after an install or update. macOS asks for access to the Downloads folder, and the app waited on that prompt before creating any window; it now opens the folder in the background.

NotchNull 1.4.3
Fixed
- Usage limit warnings (for example "Claude Week: 24% left") no longer repeat in Recent every few minutes. The usage service reports the reset time with sub-second jitter, which made each poll look like a new warning.
Full changelog: v1.4.2...v1.4.3
NotchNull 1.4.2
Fixed
- Count all recently active Codex sessions instead of limiting detection to 12.
- Recognize long-running Codex turns even when large tool output pushes the start event out of the end of the log.
- Preserve the latest turn status when a quiet rollout becomes active again, so completed turns do not reappear as running.
Initial discovery recovers the session's status from its complete log; subsequent checks continue reading only appended data.

NotchNull 1.3.1
No permission prompts at launch
- Nothing is asked when NotchNull opens. Reading Claude Code's sign-in from the keychain (for its limits) and Bluetooth (for headphone battery) now wait until you press Allow.
- Setup lists every permission with what it is for: Claude Code sign-in, Bluetooth, Calendars, Accessibility, Automation and Camera. Allow the ones you want and skip the rest; Settings › Permissions has the same list.
- Allow where you need it. The Agents tab offers Allow where Claude's limits go, and the Bluetooth tile in Controls asks on its first tap.
- If you already use NotchNull, nothing changes: the access you gave keeps working.
Also in this release: new README and website pictures from the current app.

NotchNull 1.3.0
Agents, plans and a Recent tab
- Needs you, readable and stacked. The banner says which project and terminal is asking and shows the actual question instead of a tool name. When several agents (Claude, Codex, opencode) wait at once, they stack in one banner, a row each; tap a row to jump to its terminal.
- More subscriptions. Usage for GLM Coding Plan (Z.ai), Kimi Code, MiniMax, OpenCode Go and GitHub Copilot shows up next to Claude and Codex in the Agents tab.
- opencode support. opencode sessions show up in the wings and the Agents tab.
- Recent tab. What the notch told you about lately (finished agent runs, downloads, screenshots, timers, meetings, devices). Tap a row to open it.
- Quiet agent logo. The logo no longer moves by default. Pick Spin, Pulse or Shimmer in Settings › Agents › "Logo while working".
- Swipe between tabs. Swipe left or right on the open panel.
- Widgets tab appears only once an agent adds a widget.
- Island HUD. Volume and brightness bars fill the row at a compact width, and plugging or unplugging the charger no longer flashes a brightness HUD first.
- Battery colors. Red at 10% or less; otherwise orange in Low Power, green in Automatic, blue in High Power.
- One Controls design. The classic notch uses the island's controls card, and the island no longer shows a duplicate Controls tab.

Music fixes
- One player on the island. Music lives in the left satellite; the pill keeps the clock instead of showing the same song twice.
- The left satellite is always music: the artwork, or a note when nothing plays. It no longer turns into an agent when the panel opens.
- Players that share no track info (they report playback but no title) now show the app's name and "Now playing" instead of "Nothing playing", with a clean card and working controls.

A proper island Control Center, a real About page
- Island Control Center, redesigned. The right satellite now grows into its own card: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Keep Awake and Dark Mode tiles, a battery module with charge and time left, and tall volume and brightness sliders that fill from the bottom. Right-click volume to pick the output.
- Sliders in the Controls tab no longer collapse into a blob at low values.
- Volume and brightness HUD shows the percent and a longer bar.
- Satellites stay beside the panel when you hover the center, and settle correctly when you move fast.
- About has a banner, links to the website, source, releases and issues, and a way to run Setup again.
- Setup opens once on a new install and lives in About after that. Settings opens on General.
- Claude usage no longer spins forever when the usage endpoint is rate limited; it keeps the last numbers or says when it will retry.
- The Widgets tab is hidden by default (show it again in Tabs & Wings). Your widgets are untouched.
