ALPHA 0.11 CHANGELOG

[frontend changes]

  • Cerulean FINALLY lets you view your 'Following' feed. (It is behind the Bluesky Following feed for reasons unknown. It
    seems that other apps are also having issues with content updates in some cases)
  • Cerulean allows you to view a custom feed that you input. Click "Reload Feeds" for this.
  • Cerulean now has a new theme - "Cerulean Default". It makes the app's primary color a faint blue.
    It also screws with any third party dark mode plugins for Windows.
  • Login window no longer stays visible when main menu is opened - when main window is closed, whole program closes.
  • removed old testing/debugging behaviour of opening main menu when clicking "Configure TOTP Authentication". The only way
    to access the menu now is by logging in, and the login functionality is practically bulletproof now so this shouldn't be an issue.
  • disable Login button when logging in, to not spawn multiple instances of the authenticator
  • grays out multiple buttons when work is being done on the backend, so you can't spam requests
  • added Donation button to About menu, although it does nothing
  • Added invalid login details warning
  • Logout button now wipes accessJwt, refreshJwt, and login data from memory, stops refresher,
    and returns you to the login window. Lock button has been removed.
  • sets automatic enter activate to Quick Post button in Main Menu, Post in Composer, Apply in Change PDS Host Menu,
    and Post about Cerulean in About section

[backend changes]

  • Added Cerulean website and Github links to Help.
  • The Cerulean background process that handles all network has been rewritten. Expect better memory management
    and easier-to-maintain code.
  • add Aero theme checker. You will get a warning if Aero theme is not enabled.
  • added robust checking and handling of no-internet exceptions
  • removed debug information for exceptions
  • fixed bug introduced in Alpha 0.10 where login window would open to the top left of the screen. Also sets all other windows
    to open in the center instead of the left by default
  • removed legacy code for "Connected" message on login screen once logged in, that is now never triggered
  • cleans up async after execution

[known issues]

  • The refresher has issues after leaving it for more than 5-6 hours. For some reason, Bluesky thinks refreshJwt has expired,
    despite the documentation saying that refreshJwt lasts 2 months. This is most likely a Bluesky server-side problem and one that
    is being looked into.
  • Clicking Quick Post buttom triggers search box selection.
