📚 SysML v2 Resource Hub

A curated set of links for anyone learning, adopting, or contributing to SysML v2 — the next-generation Systems Modeling Language from the OMG. This page organizes the community's go-to resources by category: specifications, implementations, methodology, training, tools, migration guidance, and community discussion.

Part of the Open SysML Forum wiki — see also Home and OpenSysML Forum.

📐 Official Specifications & Standards

Resource Description
OMG SysML The official OMG landing page for SysML, covering both the mature v1.x line and the v2.0 standard.
OMG SysML v2 Specification The formally adopted SysML v2.0 language spec, along with the KerML v1.0 kernel spec and the Systems Modeling API & Services spec it's built on.

🧩 GitHub Repositories & Reference Implementation

Resource Description
Systems-Modeling GitHub org Home of the SysML v2 Submission Team's (SST) open-source work — the pilot implementation, monthly releases, and the API & Services proof-of-concept.
SysML-v2-Release Start here. The latest incremental release: spec documents, training material, example models, and installers for the pilot implementation.
SysML-v2-Pilot-Implementation The Eclipse-based pilot implementation of the SysML v2 textual notation and visualization.
OpenMBEE.org The Open Model-Based Engineering Environment — open-source tooling for managing, integrating, and publishing systems models at scale.

🧠 Methodology — OOSEM v2

Resource Description
INCOSE Object-Oriented SE Method (OOSEM) Working Group The working group evolving and extending OOSEM to leverage SysML v2, incorporating 15+ years of SysML v1 lessons learned.

🎓 Learning Resources

Resource Description
SysML v2 Training (sysml.org) A roundup of SysML v2 training and certification offerings across providers.
Advent of SysML v2 A free, self-paced lesson series (video + hands-on exercises) covering language fundamentals through real-world workflows.
SysML v2 Introduction Foundational overview presented by Sanford Friedenthal, SST co-lead.

Note: the original stub listed "Frank's SysML YouTube" as a resource. I wasn't able to confidently verify which channel that refers to — worth confirming with whoever added it before publishing, so the right link goes in rather than a guess.

🛠️ Tools

Resource Description
OMG SysML v2 Tools The official OMG-maintained directory of SysML v2 authoring, analysis, integration, and visualization tools from across the vendor ecosystem.

🔁 Transition Materials (v1 → v2)

Resource Description
SysML v1 to SysML v2 Transition Guidance (MBSE Wiki) The INCOSE-led, DoW DEM&S-sponsored transition project: FAQs, a transition plan outline, and a model conversion approach with examples.

💬 Community & Discussion

Resource Description
SysML v2 Release Google Group The primary discussion group for questions and feedback on the SysML v2 releases. Membership requires a short application.

❓ FAQ

Resource Description
SysML v2 FAQ Answers to the most common questions about what SysML v2 is, who created it, and how to get started.

The stub also called for a frequent misconceptions list — I didn't find an existing standalone one to link to. Might be worth authoring as a page here on this wiki rather than linking out.

🏛️ INCOSE

Resource Description
INCOSE MBSE Initiative INCOSE's hub for MBSE standards direction and SysML v1/v2 work, including links into the transition guidance above.

The stub also asked for an "INCOSE GitHub" and an "INCOSE website page pointing to it." I couldn't confirm a dedicated official INCOSE GitHub org — flagging rather than guessing.
