Desktop and shared changes
- Add guarded SI-Card8 owner-name inspection and programming on desktop, including exact-card and station checks, interruption recovery, removal/reinsertion verification, and punch-preservation confirmation.
- Add reviewed control-coordinate editing for unlocked courses. Changes show affected courses before application and are blocked after recorded activity could make course changes unsafe.
- Add compact PDF course reports with a course diagram, elevation profile, control labels, and ideal-route leg distances in meters.
- Resolve category assignments through the canonical race control catalog across evaluation, imports, exports, reports, and desktop course tools while retaining narrowly scoped compatibility for older Race Files and Android Room data.
- Remove obsolete condition checks and compiler deprecation warnings, and migrate desktop clipboard handling to the current Compose API.
Android release notes
Maintenance release that improves shared course and control-data reliability and keeps Android aligned with the desktop release. There are no new Android features in this update.
Release validation
The local release gate passed 4,101 tests with zero failures or errors (7 skips), Android debug assembly and signed release bundling, Android release lint, desktop runtime/distributable checks, the six-jar jDeploy bundle check, the complete cross-platform course-transfer workflow, IOF 3.0 schema validation, jDeploy preflight/package preview, and a macOS ARM local install-and-launch smoke. npm reports zero vulnerabilities. GitHub, npm, and immutable-tag workflow evidence will be recorded in docs/release-verification-1.0.50.md after publication.
The signed Android App Bundle is app/build/outputs/bundle/release/app-release.aab, version name 1.0.50 and version code 58. Its upload certificate SHA-256 fingerprint is B1:0A:F4:2A:4A:61:64:23:84:CA:A4:8B:2E:43:9E:6D:22:16:23:11:0F:71:DB:A2:D7:89:20:22:57:DD:72:DA. Android store submission is separate from this desktop jDeploy deployment.
Physical SPORTident, printer, Android-device, and manual Windows/Linux UI acceptance are outside the requested jDeploy and Android-build scope and are not reported as passing.
The Android build retains the repository's intentional compile SDK 37 target. Android Gradle Plugin 8.13.2 emits its compatibility notice because that plugin version was tested through SDK 36.1; the warning is documented rather than suppressed, and successful debug/release compilation and signing remain required.
The latest available jDeploy release still depends on the deprecated shelljs 0.8 toolchain, which emits install-time notices for glob 7 and inflight. These packages are used only while generating installers, not by Radio-Oracle at runtime. The vulnerable nested brace-expansion version is overridden with patched 1.1.21, the bundled tar runtime is updated to 7.5.22, and npm audit must report zero vulnerabilities. Replacing jDeploy's incompatible dependency range is deferred to jDeploy upstream rather than forcing an invalid npm tree.
Standards compatibility
Deployment drift review: compatible. Refreshed the current upstream AROB-CR/radio-o-standards schemas, examples, and README at commit 83eeaa413c6b0b7a0564247b45a1d93cfd5fc3c1. ARDF JSON and ARDF XML field shapes, namespaces, control roles, scoring semantics, and result structures remain unchanged. IOF imports continue to use schema-valid Id, Name, and PunchingUnitId data; the new preview catalog and strict control-ID resolution are internal mappings that do not add or alter IOF elements. Course coordinates and SI-Card owner data remain Radio-Oracle Race File or hardware concerns rather than additions to the public interchange formats. Existing standards differences are not expanded by this release.

Desktop and shared changes
- Standardize native CSV exports with column headers, comma separators, and quoted fields. Continue importing legacy semicolon files and preserve dedicated compatibility export dialects.
- Explain CSV formats beside import/export actions and offer import templates. Add separate KML/KMZ guidance explaining Google Earth compatibility, control placemarks, regulation categories, and route lines.
- Display course reports in Setup > Courses, including elevation profiles with control markers. Fit the 2D diagram and elevation profile side by side when the window is wide enough.
- Hide Mandatory and Phantom route-point markers and labels in 2D diagrams while retaining their effect on the route line.
- Review XML control mappings before import, with public names, roles, and SI station numbers prefilled from source data and existing controls. Correct mappings before accepting the course import.
- Apply the same recorded-readout restriction to Controls CSV imports as to other course imports, and group Course Tools under Setup > Courses.
Android release notes
CSV exports now use consistent comma-separated columns with headings and correct quoting. Import and export dialogs explain the CSV format, and import templates help you organize your data. Existing semicolon-separated CSV files remain supported.
Release validation
Charles Scharlau authorized the full jDeploy deployment and waived hardware tests only. Physical SPORTident, printer, and device acceptance checks were skipped at his request, not reported as passing. Full regression, course-transfer, schema, packaging, signing, publication, and public-download verification completed. See deployment evidence.
The full local regression round passed: 703 shared tests on desktop, the same 703 on Android debug and release, 1,056 desktop tests, and 322 Android app tests. Five optional desktop archive fixtures and one Android transfer test without its external input were skipped in the broad run; the Android transfer test subsequently ran and passed in the explicit plain/protected desktop–Android archive-transfer gate. Shared smoke, Android debug build, IOF schema/fixture validation, workflow lint, and secret scanning also passed. Full-suite XML reports were preserved before the filtered transfer checks.
Plain/protected archive transfers and their returned-desktop checks, desktop runtime/distributable verification, jDeploy release preflight and package preview, and local jDeploy installation/launch smoke passed. The signed Android bundle verifies as 1.0.49/code 57 with the previous release signing certificate. Both publishing workflows and the immutable-tag course workflow passed. All 14 public GitHub assets matched their published sizes and hashes; both public package archives verified, and the public npm install/launch smoke passed.
Android version name is 1.0.49 and version code is 57. Android store submission is separate from this desktop jDeploy deployment.

The separate course-workflow CI setup now requests platform-tools instead of the removed Android tools package. The repository's Android 37.0 platform and its regression and archive-transfer checks remain enabled.

Desktop and shared changes
- Assign an existing course to one or more categories directly from Categories. Course Analyzer remains optional.
- Preserve existing Beacon and Spectator settings when reimporting course files that do not specify those roles.
- Apply calculated courses without changing fox numbers. Renumbering now has its own review and confirmation, showing affected courses and station numbers.
- Optionally import Condes points numbered 900–999 as route points without punches. This option is off by default.
- Show fox-count guidance as a warning for Practice events while keeping essential course checks.
- Improve course-report warnings and explanations, and add diagnostic logging for imports, assignments, and course application.
Android release notes
Maintenance release to keep Android and desktop versions aligned. There are no Android feature changes in this update.
Release validation
Charles Scharlau authorized the full deployment and explicitly waived additional tests for this release. The completed implementation validation is recorded in Course import and numbering validation: 681 shared, 1,031 desktop, and 316 Android tests passed, followed by successful plain and protected desktop–Android transfer checks and supplied-file replay. These results precede the version-only release preparation. Windows UI and physical SPORTident/device testing were not performed and are covered by the waiver; skipped checks are not claimed as passed.
Release packaging, version alignment, publication, and public-download verification remain part of deployment. Existing publication workflows retain their built-in gates. Android version name is 1.0.48 and version code is 56. The jDeploy workflow publishes desktop installers and packages; the Android bundle is prepared separately for the release operator.
The separate course-workflow reliability job failed before tests during Android SDK setup, matching the previous release job. This is recorded as a validation gap under the explicit additional-test waiver.
Deployment completed: all 14 GitHub assets verified from fresh downloads; npm archive integrity, provenance, exact candidate, and public install/launch verified. Deployment evidence.

Radio-Oracle 1.0.45 fixes desktop imports of Condes GPX and KMZ courses.
- Condes labels such as
1 (71)now identify control code 71 while keeping course order separate from fox identity. - KMZ imports recognize course-setting control codes and Start/Finish metadata, and reconstruct complete numbered courses from their coordinate folders.
- Existing fox/SI station pairs are preserved. New controls and course mappings appear in the import review.
- Failed course imports now show an error dialog and record diagnostic details.
Validated using the original reported GPX and KMZ attachments, regression fixtures with invented locations, and desktop/shared/Android release tests. Windows and Linux installers include their required native runtimes; local installation and startup are verified on macOS.
