[0.26.2-nightly.87] - 2026-10-14

Added

  • Show “This laptop isn’t supported yet” on laptops OpenBlade doesn’t support. Help add support saves a short identity report and opens a support request form to attach it to. (#745)

Fixed

  • Recognize a supported laptop when Windows reports no BIOS version or two different ones. The BIOS version is checked only where a model explicitly requires it. (#745)
  • Show the actual failed identity check in exported diagnostics, instead of a product-name mismatch against another supported model. (#745)
  • Keep the other controls working when the laptop reports a battery, performance or fan value OpenBlade doesn’t recognize. Only the affected controls stay unavailable, and HyperBoost shows as unknown instead of off until a later reading confirms it. The MCU firmware version is still read, and the status and exported diagnostics show the unrecognized value, including for keyboard and logo lighting. (#752)

Changed

  • Start OpenBlade as soon as you sign in. Setup now uses Task Scheduler instead of the Startup folder, which Windows delays, and removes the old startup shortcuts. (#748)
  • Reduce the installed payload by using a shared .NET 10 Desktop Runtime. Setup prompts to install it when needed and keeps Visual C++ bundled. (#743)

This is a prerelease and is available only to users who select the Nightly update channel.
