Arsys Provider

An Arsys Provider will allow you to interact with your Arsys Cloud infrastructure. Moreover, you can create different Arsys Providers to manage your deployments in several regions:

  • Spain
  • France
  • North Germany
  • South Germany
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

It is possible to add zones by modifying the driver configuration. Learn more about how to modify or expand a driver behavior in Adding New Zones.

In order to define an Arsys Provider, you will need to get an API KEY in advance. Refer to the Arsys support center for further details.

To finally create an Arsys Provider, you can either use the Sunstone UI, the OneForm CLI or the OneForm API.

Creating an Arsys Provider in Sunstone

The procedure below describes how to create an Arsys Provider in your OpenNebula database and make it available for future provisioning operations in the Sunstone UI.

Step 1. Navigate to Infrastructure -> Providers in the Sunstone sidebar:

create_provider_button

Step 2. Click Create:

create_provider_button

Step 3. Select the Arsys OneForm driver and click Next:

arsys_driver

Step 4. In the General page enter a name and a description for the Provider, and then click Next:

arsys_driver_name

Step 5. In the Connection Values page enter the API KEY and the datacenter in which you will deploy your resources, then click Finish:

arsys_driver_connection

Step 6. Finally, in the Providers page your Arsys Provider will now be visible:

arsys_driver_created

Now that you have created your Arsys Provider, refer to the next guide to Provision an Arsys Edge Cluster.

Creating an Arsys Provider using the OneForm CLI

Create an Arsys Provider using the oneprovider create <ID> command, specifying the external cloud Provider ID (arsys in this case). During instantiation, OneForm will prompt you to enter the required credentials and region.

oneprovider create arsys
There are some parameters that require user input.
  * (token) Arsys API Key [type: string]
    ***************
  * (datacenter) Arsys datacenter [type: string]
    0: France
    1: Germany north
    2: Germany south
    3: Spain
    4: United Kingdom
    5: United States

    Please type the selection number: 0

ID: 1

Once you have created the Provider, review its details using the oneprovider show <ID> command:

oneprovider show 1
PROVIDER 1 INFORMATION

Now that you have created your Arsys Provider, refer to the next guide to Provision an Arsys Edge Cluster.

Creating an Arsys Provider with the OneForm API

To create an Arsys Provider using the OneForm API, use the following example request, replacing the appropriate parameters:

curl -X POST "https://oneform.example.server/api/v1/providers" \
  -u "username:password" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "driver": "arsys",
    "connection_values": {
      "datacenter": "Spain",
      "token": "YOUR_API_KEY",
    },
    "name": "Arsys Provider",
    "description": "Provider for managing Arsys infrastructure"
  }'

For further details about the API, refer to the OneForm API Reference.

Now that you have created your Arsys Provider, refer to the next guide to Provision an Arsys Edge Cluster.
