Tag & release v1.3.1 — biweekly & variable-amount recurring rules, screenshot blocking, a redesigned Savings Goals (now a real, transfer-funded account), a budget note field, and a live-currency-symbol fix. Already coded on the BETA branch; not yet tagged or released. See the Unreleased section of CHANGELOG.md.
Verify the Android home-screen widget on a real device — the v1.3.0 widget was hand-verified against its library's own example only, never build-verified on real hardware.

Open feature requests, tracked as GitHub issues:

#26 — Manually importing bank SMS — share a bank SMS to XPENC from the system share sheet, instead of automatic scanning. Avoids the READ_SMS permission entirely.
#25 — Screenshot-based expense import — screenshot your bank's transaction history; an offline model extracts the data. No internet, no invasive permission.
#21 — Proper liability accounts / financial-model separation — a dedicated liability-account concept (loans, mortgages, credit-card balances) distinct from both regular accounts and categories, so a loan received isn't mistaken for income.
#17 — Import transactions via bank CSV — bulk-import from a bank-exported CSV file, no SMS capture required.

F-Droid — the app is merged into fdroiddata and auto-updates on every tagged release. The fork recipe still needs a manual bump (commit hash, versionName, versionCodes) per release before F-Droid users see a new version — that step is outstanding for v1.3.0.
Google Play — submission kit (listing copy, data-safety answers, screenshots, feature graphic) is ready in docs/playstore/. Scheduled to start 15 August 2026: needs an upload keystore, a Play developer account, and 12 testers across 14 consecutive days of closed testing before production access.
