CMIP7-ScenarioMIP: Schedule for Provision of Aircraft Emissions Extension Data IIASA-IAMC-*-ext-1-1-2

We would be grateful if you could let us know the schedule for providing the ScenarioMIP aircraft emissions extension data IIASA-IAMC-*-ext-1-1-2 for the period 2105–2500.

In our model, daily emission values are calculated by temporally interpolating monthly emission boundary values. For this reason, we need the aircraft emissions extension data for the year 2101 — in practice, the 2105 data — in order to run the calculation for December 2100. However, since the corrected version of the extension data, version 1-1-2, has not yet been made available, we are currently unable to complete not only the (esm-)scen7-x-ext experiments but also the (esm-)scen7-x experiments up to the year 2100.

Considering the current status of the provision of the Land Use data, given the circumstances described above, we particularly need the IIASA-IAMC-h-ext-1-1-2 and IIASA-IAMC-m-ext-1-1-2 datasets in order to complete our experiments. We would therefore be very grateful if these datasets could be made available. As for the vl scenario (IIASA-IAMC-vl-ext-1-1-2), we understand that the aircraft emissions are zero throughout the entire period, and therefore the currently available version 1-1-1 extension data should not pose any problem.

@znichollscr I downloaded h-ext_1-1-2 from the provided link and conducted a quick check. As shown in the attached figure, its seasonal cycle closely resembles that of h-1-1-2 in both amplitude and phase, and no apparent discontinuity is observed between 2100 and 2101.
