OpenPhoenix keeps extension surfaces optional and behind shared policy.
- Skills are Markdown instruction packs loaded from configured directories or installed from the configured registry.
- MCP connects external tool servers over the Model Context Protocol and exposes only selected tools.
- Claws describe packaged agents, skills, and jobs in a
CLAW.mdmanifest that can be validated and planned before installation. - Browser automation attaches to or starts local Chromium, then works through accessibility snapshots and guarded references.
- Media and audio modules provide image generation, speech, video, music, and transcription when enabled.
- Canvas presents operator-supplied HTML through the authenticated gateway.
- Nodes and devices provide explicit enrollment, scoped tokens, capabilities, rotation, and revocation.
- Plugins report configured MCP servers, hooks, and skills and diagnose broken entries.
Installed extensions do not bypass workspace, command, approval, redaction, or egress controls. Review Tools, Security, Nodes-and-Devices, and Configuration before enabling them.
