When running in an xterm window, cope with the different keystroke settings of Backspace and Delete. Also detect and handle an 8-bit control character setting. Lock out callouts in regular expressions (if PCRE2 supports this) instead of silently ignoring. Allow "mark line" in read-only mode (bug fix).
