Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.2.1
Spyro: A Hero's Tail v2.2.1
This revision fixes a few small issues that do not break runs, but were of enough importance to justify a revision release.
If you have an existing seed from v2.2.0, it should be safe to use this revision with it. Each changelog note below specifies whether it is a game mod or .apworld update, so you can choose whether you want to update each part. For example, if you only want the overlapping text issue fixed, then you can leave your .apworld file on v2.2.0 and only update the game mod.
Changelog (compared to v2.2.0)
- [game mod update] Fixed a frequent text overlapping issue with the pause menu's gem logic display.
- [.apworld update] Added client command
/toggle_notifications. This lets you keep notifications on in-game, but toggle whether certain types of notifications get displayed. Currently toggles hints and self-sent items (items you receive from yourself). - [.apworld update] Removed a few accidentally-left-in debug statements that display when processing Bounce traps.
What's Changed (auto-generated by GitHub)
- 2.2.1 Update by @PhoenixAki in #11
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.2.0
Spyro: A Hero's Tail v2.2.0: I Can't Think of a Good Subtitle! You Get This Instead!
NOTE: AHT v2.2.1 has been released, and should be safe to use with seeds previously generated with v2.2.0. You can find it here.
AHT v2.2 is only compatible with game mod version 20, which is included below (both NTSC + PAL).
v2.2 contains way more than originally planned (sorry for the long changelog...). There's enough left on our to-do list to justify at least a v2.3, though I'm not sure how quick it'll happen. But who are we kidding, I'm scarily addicted to working on AHT...
KNOWN ISSUE: I accidentally left a few logging print statements in the client code which processes Bounce traps. I don't think it's worth putting out a tiny .apworld adjustment just to fix that, so I'll probably leave it as-is for now. May change my mind down the road idk.
Changelog (compared to v2.1.0)
Most Notable
Features
- The PAL GC version of the game is now supported by the game mod!
- The randomized shop system has been moderately redesigned:
gem_logicis nowshop_logicand comes in 2 forms.orderedworks identically togem_logic = true.unorderedis a replacement forgem_logic = falsewhich avoids all shop items being in sphere 1.unorderedassumes you will buy items in order, but doesn't restrict you from doing otherwise at your own risk, whereasordereddoes enforce the order.- Number of shop items is now determined by
shop_item_countinstead ofkey_rings.
- The goal system has been heavily expanded.
auto_correctionshas been expanded tohalt,fix_minor,fix_major, andchaos.halthalts generation on problems.fix_minorfixes relatively inconsequential problems.fix_majorfixes problems with a more notable impact.chaoscontinues generation instead of fixing or halting.- Added support for 5 traps (Spam Call, Reverse Controls, Bounce, Gem Tax, and Damage Sparx)!
- You can now teleport across the orbiting platform sections in Cloudy Domain with a button prompt.
Logic
- Added a logical requirement for the critters in Red's boss fight.
- The rising statue room in Sunken Ruins now requires Electric Breath to get to anything, instead of only Double Jump.
RL: Dark Gem in Northeastnow requires the ability to kill the huge robo-gnorcs guarding it.- Fixed a rare math precision error that could make the final shop item never be in logic.
- Made a reference spreadsheet which lists every region and location access rule, to help with troubleshooting.
Less Notable
Fixes/Tweaks
auto_correctionswill now fix or halt if you attempt to generate a seed with no goal, or if you randomize Light Gem door or Gadget costs to be above 90 whileopen_world_modeisvanilla.- Fixed a goal bug that hurt Go Mode accuracy and harmed the quality of calculated playthroughs.
- Map icons now render as red = unreachable, yellow = reachable, and green = checked.
- The pause menu's gem information no longer includes out-of-logic gems (those from Gem Packs/Taxes and Double Gems).
- Fixed multiple bugs with how shop unlock items are created and handled logically.
- Added location groups for Light Gem doors and gadgets.
- In-game notifications now include item sends, and a small Easter egg when you receive specific items from yourself.
hint_boss_rewardsnow hints all boss locations, not just the breath rewards.logging_levelis now a single choice of level of detail.- The pause menu's item list now correctly identifies Pole Spin, and "Health Unit+" is no longer missing from it.
- Gem count in minigames is no longer separate from your full count, meaning you don't need to finish a minigame to get its gems.
Misc.
- Significantly refactored chunks of the codebase to be better designed and easier to maintain.
- Added client command
/costs. - Nearly every location has been renamed for less verbosity.
- "Generics" filler items are now "Shinies".
- Added 270 gems from Stormy Beach to the gem logic system that were missed.
- Condensed a few YAML options for simplicity.
- Locations are now sorted on the tracker page in order of vanilla game levels, then alphabetically by logical region, then alphabetically by location.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.2.0 (Prerelease)
v2.2.0 (Prerelease): I Think I Like AHT Too Much...
Intended for use with game mod version 18 (see attachments).
v2.2 contains way more than originally planned for it. It transitioned from "the next few things on my mind" to "do everything I can before I feel OK with putting it down for a bit". The to-do list still isn't totally empty, so there may still be a v2.3 in the relatively near future, but I don't anticipate any more big updates as there really aren't many other moderate-to-big sized features left to add at this point.
Changelog
Hotfix 3 + A Few Additions (~10:45pm EDT Sept. 24th)
- PAL game mod version bumped to 18.1 to fix a bug that would allow you to still charge briefly if you press its button, even if you haven't been sent charge yet.
- An OptionError is now triggered if you try to generate a seed that has no goal and have
auto_correctionsnot set tofix_major. - Fix a bug with goaling that could lead to incorrect go mode reporting, and potentially harmed the quality of the intended playthrough.
- Fixed the Red fight not having any logical requirement to handle the critters that spawn in phase 2.
- Condensed
minigames_goalandminigames_goal_countintominigames_goal, which is now redesigned to do all that work in one option. This improves the individual customization of each type of minigame goal a bit, and saves some space in the YAML. - Made a variety of misc. tweaks and improvements to the YAML and logging system that aren't worth noting individually.
Hotfix 2 (~2:30am EDT Sept. 20th)
- Fixed a secondary issue relating to costs for boss lairs/light gem doors/gadgets not getting appropriately randomized/shuffled. If you have hotfix 1, only the .apworld file needs to be updated for this fix (game mod and YAML are unchanged).
Hotfix 1 (~7:30am EDT Sept. 19th)
- Updated game mod from v17 -> v18, which contains a fix for a PAL-exclusive game-breaking bug in Gloomy Glacier (collectibles were not being tracked). Even if using NTSC, you need to update your mod to v18 to avoid the client giving a warning about incompatibility.
- Fixed a few bugs with the in-game notifications, mainly affecting "sent <item> to <player>" messages.
- Fixed a small typo that resulted in randomized costs for boss lairs/light gem doors/gadgets not actually being randomized.
- Refactored the client's in-game map icon updating code to be more robust and easier to maintain.
- Removed leftover text from the YAML referencing a scrapped feature idea.
Multiple New or Redesigned/Expanded Features
- The PAL GC version of the game is now supported by the game mod! Shoutouts to @BrinchEbsen for tons of work on the game mod in this update.
- Logging system redesigned to be a single choice of level of detail. Warning messages from YAML issues are now always logged.
- The randomized shop system has been moderately redesigned to take more advantage of the gem logic system introduced in v2.0.
gem_logicis nowshop_logicand comes in 2 forms:orderedworks identically togem_logic = true.unorderedis a replacement forgem_logic = falsewhich completely removes the situation of having all shop items in logic in sphere 1.unorderedwill instead expect you to buy shop items in order as you gain access to enough gems to do them, but will not restrict you from buying them in another order if desired.
- Also,
shop_item_countlets you customize how many shop items you have, now separated fromkey_rings.
- The goal system has been expanded to allow for customization of how many AHT checks you must do for each, instead of all-or-nothing. AHT is now capable of a much wider variety of seeds, and is better suited for shorter goal syncs now. 2 new types of goals were added, as well (talking to elders, and minigames).
/check_goalwas redesigned to better suit this redesign. auto_correctionsexpanded tofix_minorandfix_major. Minor fixes are things that are relatively inconsequential, major have a more notable impact on the seed.- Added support for 4 traps (Spam Call, Reverse Controls, Gem Tax, and Damage Sparx)! The first 2 have a customizable length of time they last, and you can customize how much of the junk pool will be traps vs. filler.
Other Things
- Refactored/organized significant chunks of the codebase to be more smartly designed, particularly the item creation process.
- Client commands have slightly better error checking now. Also added
/costsas a convenience command that outputs various costs separately from/list_options. - Made an updated logic spreadsheet which lists every region and location access rule. May or may not be useful to the average person, but it's here for those interested in the internal logic rules (also pinned in the thread).
- Map icons now render as red = unreachable, yellow = reachable, green = checked.
- Every location was renamed to be less verbose, and they have a new ID mapping system which makes some features way easier to code.
- Partially undid the custom sorting of locations in the tracker page. Locations are now sorted first in order of vanilla game levels, then alphabetically by logical region, then alphabetically by location.
- "Generics" filler category is now called "Shinies". Same thing, they do nothing, just treat them like little shiny trinkets.
- Added "Sent to " notifications in-game. None of us have any idea why they weren't there already, either...also added a small Easter egg when you receive a specific type of item from yourself
- Did you know there's some barrels and crates in Stormy Beach you can headbash? I didn't...their gems (270 total) are added to the gem logic system now.
hint_boss_rewardsnow hints all boss locations, not just the breath rewards.- Added location groups for Light Gem doors and gadgets.
- Fixed an inconsequential logic bug in Magma Falls Bottom.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.1.0
v2.1.0: Various Misc. Things
Intended for use with game mod version 14 (see attachments).
v2.1.0 contains a handful of new settings, tweaks, and fixes without any particular theming. It's mostly stuff that came up during or shortly after development of v2.0.0 that were either low priority or I otherwise didn't manage to get into an update until now.
⚠ Even if you downloaded the v2.1.0 prerelease, please update your .apworld file with the version here. A logic adjustment and some minor client bugfixes were added to this full version of v2.1.0 that you will miss out on if you don't install the new .apworld below. The game mod is unchanged and can be ignore if you already have version 14.0 of it. ⚠
Additions/Expansions
- New
automaticsetting toboss_lair_forcingwhich forces all goal boss to have collectively the highest cost(s). - Expanded location groups to include per-level and per-realm groups, as well as adding a "Starter Checks" group.
movement_randomizationnow allows for individual randomization of each ability, instead of being all or nothing.- Renamed
starting_breath->starting_breathsto reflect it now allowing for starting with multiple breaths. Can still start with none or with a random breath, if the list is left empty.- Random breath does not require
auto_correctionsto be set to 'fix'.starting_realmswas adjusted to be similar in not requiringauto_correctionsanymore to get a random realm chosen.
- Random breath does not require
Fixes
- Fixed
vanilla_minigame_rewardsnot working for turret minigames. - Fixed a missing glide requirement in Dragonfly Falls connecting the end of the level back to the start.
- Improved error handling in
/check_goalcommand.
Tweaks
- Removed glide requirement from the locked chest in the entry area of Dragonfly Falls, as it can be reached from below with just Double Jump quite easily. Similarly adjusted the gem access rule for the Crocovile next to it.
- "Generics" filler item selection process is improved to be more uniform. Each one will be picked once before any are doubled up, and similar as more are picked.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.1.0 (Prerelease)
v2.1.0: Various Misc. Things (Prerelease)
Intended for use with game mod version 14 (see attachments).
This update is being posted as a prerelease, hopefully to be posted as a full release this coming weekend after people have a chance to do some test seeds. It has been internally tested to the best of my abilities and should be stable enough to not have major concerns. If you would prefer to play the latest non-prerelease update, you can find that here.
2 small parts of v2.1.0 were included in the v2.0.1 hotfix (death link amnesty and the new game mod versioning system). This release contains those, as well as the following additional things:
- Fixed a missing glide requirement in Dragonfly Falls.
- Added
automaticsetting toboss_lair_forcingwhich forces all goal bosses (if any are part of goal) to have collectively the highest cost(s). - Expanded location groups to include per-level and per-realm groups for Dark Gems, Dragon Eggs, Light Gems, Fireworks, and Locked Chests. Some other misc. groups added as well (such as "Starter Checks").
- Tweaked
movement_randomizationto allow for individual toggling of each ability, instead of it being all or nothing. - Renamed
starting_breath->starting_breathsand redesigned it to allow for starting with multiple breaths, none, or a random one if list is empty.starting_realmswas made to match the above behavior i.e. random starting breath if list is empty. Neither requiresauto_correctionsto be set tofix.
- "Generics" filler item selection process improved to be more uniform. Each will be picked once each before doubling any up, and same for tripling, quadrupling, etc.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.0.2
v2.0.2: Notification Fix
Intended for use with game mod version 14.0 or newer (see attachments)
v2.0.2 of AHT AP contains a fix for in-game notifications. They were inadvertently broken in the v2.0.1 hotfix due to the game mod changing which addresses are used to display notifications via the client. Nothing else is different or new about v2.0.2, so if you are fine with in-game notifications not working, you do not need to download this update.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.0.1
v2.0.1: Fixes & DeathLink Amnesty
Intended for use with game mod version 14.0 or newer (see attachments)
v2.0.1 of AHT AP contains the following fixes:
- Logic was expecting the player to need charge in order to charge underwater. This was a misunderstanding about how the game works: vanilla game does not require charge to charge underwater. The game mod has been updated to override this behavior. In other words, going forward, you will need to have charge in order to charge underwater, which reflects the current logic of AHT AP for locations and gems.
hint_minigame_rewardsandhint_boss_rewardswere inadvertently broken in v2.0.0 due to an overzealous attempt to micro-optimize the client's code. They are back to working again now :)
In addition to those fixes, v2.0.1 also contains 2 things that were slated for v2.1 but due to project organization reasons, are being bundled with v2.0.1:
- The game mod now uses a major and minor version in its releases. The client has an improved ability to identify when the detected game mod version is incompatible, compatible but outdated, or compatible. Please check for messages about compatibility in the client before making any bug reports, as you may simply be using a wrong version.
- New option
death_link_amnestyallows players to choose how many in-game deaths need to occur before a single DeathLink death is sent out to the multiworld. This option was included in v2.0.1 because it was already created in the v2.1 dev branch, and merging the branches together for v2.0.1 was significantly cleaner in terms of project organization.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: V2.0 (Final Beta)
v2.0 (Release Candidate): I've Opened the Whole World Up
This is the third and final major chunk of the Spyro AHT 2.0 update, labelled as "release candidate" because I have no plans to add more into what will become 2.0. Depending on if issues arise, I would like to release the official 2.0 within the next week or so, but we'll see based on playtesting. I'm excited to finally have time to play what I've spent the past month working on :fa_basil_heehee:
Note that the game mod has been updated to version 11 and, going forward, will be included alongside the .apworld, instead of being hosted separately by Ebbe. This should cut back on confusion about which version to use.
Setup Guide here. Take note that Universal Tracker is now a soft-requirement for some AHT client features.
Hotfix 2 8/8 5:15pm (new .apworld and game mod files below!!!)
Further playtesting revealed a few more mistyped logic rules. I determined this made it justified to do a complete review of every location in search of any other lingering issues. I took the opportunity to do something I was going to put off for a 2.1 update but it made sense to multitask doing alongside this review:
- All locations in the world have been renamed/reformatted to allow for a custom sorting function to be added for Universal Tracker to use.
- The location review led to fixing a few Locked Chests which were missing their chest logic rule. I also added Double Jump as a requirement to progress through a small portion of Sunken Ruins (getting onto the electric platform after the fish statues) that should only affect a few checks and gem rules.
- Also, Ebbe was able to fix a loading zone that in the vanilla game was badly misaligned which could lead to finicky issues with open world mode. Ebbe OP. New game mod version is below.
## Hotfix 1 8/8 3:45am (new .apworld and game mod files below!!!)
Initial playtesting revealed, unsurprisingly, a few logic errors which are now fixed. It also includes 2 game mod changes which enabled 2 things as quality of life improvements:
-
- The in-game map icons that get rendered will now render for all maps you have access to, not just the one that you're currently in.
-
- New YAML option
shop_pad_proximity_activationwhich is a quality of life adjustment for non-full open world mode seeds. Details in the YAML.
- New YAML option
Changelog (this is a lot again lol. changelog.txt contains some unredacted details)
-
⚠️ The first note is one that lingers from 2.0 Beta Releases 1 & 2: the project internally has been renamed fromspyro-ahttospyro_aht. It is recommended you go into yourcustom_worldsfolder in your AP installation and manually delete any oldspyro-ahtfiles, to minimize chance of issues from this⚠️ -
Major Feature Addition: Open World Mode
- This feature allows you to set the remote shop pads to become unlocked not by reaching them physically, but by receiving AP items which unlock them in various fashions, such as individual, progressive per level, full levels, and full realms. This required a MASSIVE re-design of all logical regions of the randomizer.
-
Project Wiki: Added a brand-new and written from scratch series of wiki pages to my GitHub repo for the randomizer, found here.
-
Realm Access Adjustments (to cooperate with open world mode better)
- Enabling full open world will forcibly start you with all 4 realm access cards to ensure smooth traveling. If using non-full open world mode, realm access cards will be created for your starting realms, but the remaining realms will have their access determined based on shop unlocks and teleporting to them.
-
New option:
pause_menu_patch- This gives you the choice between the existing "press and hold Y to teleport to the hub" and a new option "press Y to open shop" which lets you access the shop from anywhere in the game. These each have logic implications on open world mode, which is why this new patch was created and housed in this option.
-
Gem Logic Fix & Expansion
- Fixed the issue from Beta Release 2 relating to gem logic not lining up in trackers post-generation by redesigning the whole process.
- Added
non_blink_enemiesas a 3rd way to divvy up the gem collection process for things in the game.
-
New client command
/add_itemwhich is meant to be used for debugging or setting up a blank new save file to be at a similar or same point as a previous save file (such as if it gets corrupted or otherwise lost). -
Various other things:
- The game mod and client now supports custom DeathLink messages based on how you die! Go and spam your friends with deaths to try to find them all linkusEvil
- Updated
double_gemsto be usable regardless of what you setgem_logicto. - Added an open-source-license to the project. In short: "do whatever you want with my code but don't sell it"
- Added 2 new generic filler items.
- Fixed
boss_lair_forcingfrom only doing its thing if boss lair costs were non-default. - Numerous other behind-the-scene things that have significantly sped up my development workflow and debugging capabilities.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.0.0
v2.0.0: I Can't Wait To Actually Play This Now!
After over 100 commits and 3 beta releases spread out over 6 weeks, Spyro: A Hero's Tail Archipelago (AHT AP) 2.0.0 is finally available as a full, standalone release! SO many things have been added, removed, improved, etc. that you are best off forgetting everything you knew about AHT AP and going in with a fresh mindset. AHT AP is the first world I've stepped up to be a maintainer of (with the blessings of the previous developer), and I truly hope this breathes some new life into AHT AP. My to-do list is far from empty, but I'm eager to take a break so I can go back to...y'know, playing randomizers 😅
Setup Guide (featured on brand-new project wiki!)
Abbreviated Changelog (more detail can be found here)
-
Project Renaming:
⚠️ The project has been renamed internally fromspyro-ahttospyro_aht. It is advised that you manually delete any old AHT .apworld files from yourcustom_worldsfolders.⚠️ -
Major Feature 1:
open_world_modeenables unlocking Moneybags' remote shop pads via Archipelago items, with full logic support. This is a completely novel way to experience AHT and it's absolutely the part of 2.0.0 that I'm most passionate about and proud of.it's probably the only way I'm playing AHT AP going forward t b h -
Major Feature 2: New "gem logic" system which fuels the
shop_randomizationsystem now. It introduces multiple new options that give you a new form of control over how much you want gem collection to matter for your playthrough, and improves the logic capabilities of the shop item system. -
Comparatively Minor Things:
- There are now 10 different goals to choose from, which can be combined in any way wanted.
- Realm access system overhauled to allow for starting with multiple realms.
- New generation settings:
logging_level(self-explanatory) andauto_corrections, which will automatically fix many YAML issues. - Filler items can now be enabled or disabled per-type.
- Numerous client additions, including: Universal Tracker integration, 2 new commands (
/check_goaland/add_item), custom deathlink messages, and enforcing of the right game mod version when connecting.
-
Comparatively Even Smaller Things:
- Various game mod additions, including rendering of map icons on all maps instead of just the one you're currently in, and various other small or cosmetic changes.
- 4 new quality of life or cosmetic options:
pause_menu_patch,hint_shop_items,hide_shop_item_names, andteleport_across_realms. - Added an open-source license to the project. In short: do whatever you want with our code, but don't sell it :LinkApproveB:
- Expanded location groups, minigame randomization options condensed into
vanilla_minigame_rewards, renamedrandomize_movementtomovement_randomization, expandedstarting_breathto allow for choosing any breath explicitly.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail: v2.0 (Beta Release 1)
v2.0 (Beta Release 1): I Lost A Million Brain Cells
This is the first half of a huge release for A Hero's Tail Archipelago (AHT AP). It is being released on its own for testing purposes, while the second half is worked on (tentatively slated for ~2 weeks from now). Thorough testing and feedback on all new features and changes in this version is requested.
The latest version of the game mod can be found here. Updating it is required for this beta release.
Hotfix 12:15am EDT on 7/17/26: The .apworld link has been updated to include a small fix. The client was marking some items as free automatically if they are deemed important - this is a remnant of restrictive start prevention which is believed to no longer be necessary. Logic was already acting right, but the client was overruling it.
Full Changelog (this is a lot lol. A slightly less detailed copy is included in changelog.txt)
-
AHT AP has officially switched hands to me being the primary developer and maintainer. I included a longer blurb from myself in the attached
changelog.txt. -
Complete Region Redesign
- All regions of AHT AP have been redesigned, and the locations within have been reorganized accordingly. Barring some inevitable bugs (most have been found), this should not impact the player experience too much. Logical access to every check has been re-analyzed to fix a number of oddities that were in the previous design.
- One example of how this helps is that the shop in Stormy Beach now requires Double Jump to access, when before it didn't. Thus, if you start a randomized shop run in Stormy Beach, you will not be expected to buy any items until you have Double Jump.
- All regions of AHT AP have been redesigned, and the locations within have been reorganized accordingly. Barring some inevitable bugs (most have been found), this should not impact the player experience too much. Logical access to every check has been re-analyzed to fix a number of oddities that were in the previous design.
-
Major Feature Addition: New Shop Randomization Behavior
- AHT AP now supports gem logic. The generator now knows how many gems you can accumulate at any point in generated seeds.
- The shop, when randomized, utilizes this to now space out the shop items throughout the seed. In your YAML, you will provide information on how much of the game's gems you want to collect, and the generator will decide your shop prices based on that.
- You will not lose gems when purchasing items in the shop. Each item is instead phrased as "Unlocked at X gems" and once you have X gems, the item unlocks and can be redeemed for free. Future shop items will contain higher prices, ensuring you keep collecting gems.
- The biggest downside of this change is that the player no longer has a choice in what order to buy their shop items, in this mode. Feedback is especially wanted on if this matters to people much. I am considering re-implementing the old system as a toggle in Beta Release 2.
- However, the upside is that impossible seeds are much, much more prevented.
- You will no longer be able to generate a seed with shop prices so high that they are infeasible to handle.
- There are no longer 18-56 shop checks in sphere 1, which previously led to very frequent situations where you need to buy multiple items at once but can only afford 1-2, leading to potential softlocks.
- The project's README has been expanded to contain details on how this new system works, in-depth. Some details were not essential to playtesting it, but are very useful to know, so it is strongly encouraged you read it over if you intend to give feedback on it. Sorry it's a bit long lol.
-
Universal Tracker (UT) Integration with the AHT Client
- The AHT AP client now has a "tracker page" which loads info from UT, if installed. This means UT is now a soft requirement for AHT AP.
- If UT is not installed, the client will default to its old style. This will result in 2 features of shop randomization not working anymore (map icons and the pause screen text about gems) due to the information for them being fueled by UT now.
- Randomized costs for boss lairs, light gem doors, and gadgets will now report consistently with the generated seed, in the client and in UT.
- The AHT AP client now has a "tracker page" which loads info from UT, if installed. This means UT is now a soft requirement for AHT AP.
-
Countless changes to the YAML
- The addition of
filler_items,gem_collection,blink_gems,double_gems,randomize_minigames, andteleport_across_realms.filler_itemslets you customize the items you can get as filler, including some new types.gem_collection,blink_gems, anddouble_gemsare related to the new shop randomization logic and affect how many gems you will expect to collect, and whether to fully disable Double Gems as an item (gem logic does NOT account for Double Gems).randomize_minigamessimplifies the randomizing of minigame rewards into a single option.teleport_across_realmsis a quality of life patch which lets you teleport from shop pads in one realm to another directly, without requiring using that realm's realm teleporter.
- The removal of
shop_cost_minandshop_cost_max, as shop prices are determined automatically now. - Expansion of
starting_breathto allow for choosing any breath explicitly. - The renaming of a few options, and a complete analysis and re-writing of many parts of existing options.
- The addition of
-
Various Other Additions, Tweaks, And Fixes
- The client now enforces having the right version of the game mod (currently version 8), refusing to connect if it mismatches.
- Renamed the project from
spyro-ahttospyro_aht.- NOTICE: This could lead to issues if you keep the previous .apworld installed. It is strongly advised to go into your
custom_worldsfolder, in your AP installation directory, and delete your previousspyro-aht.apworld, if you have one.
- NOTICE: This could lead to issues if you keep the previous .apworld installed. It is strongly advised to go into your
- Updated spoiler file output to include new shop randomization information on prices, as well as no longer including starting realm.
- Fixed a typo in the location group name for Molten Mount (was Moltem Mount).
