v1.3.0 — Dynamic Discovery + TF-IDF Docs + Safe Exec
What's new
Three new tools that let the agent reach Blender's full ~3000-entry API surface using a discover → docs → execute chain — without bloating the tool list.
discover_api
Searches bpy.ops.*, bpy.types.*, and bpy.data.* with keyword + fuzzy matching. Index built once on first call (~3 s) and cached to disk. Pass rebuild_cache=True to refresh after a Blender update.
query_api_docs
TF-IDF search over every bpy operator and type docstring. Pure Python stdlib — zero new dependencies. Cache persists across server restarts.
execute_safe_python
Hardened replacement for bare execute_python:
- Pushes an undo step first (all changes reversible via Ctrl-Z)
dry_run=Truevalidates syntax and flags dangerous patterns without executing- Captures a
resultvariable from your code - Sanitizes output (no raw bpy objects in the response)
- Rate-limited to 10 calls per 60 seconds
Agent workflow
discover_api("bevel") # find the operator
query_api_docs("bevel edges mesh") # understand the parameters
execute_safe_python(""" # call it safely
import bpy
bpy.ops.mesh.bevel(offset=0.1, segments=2)
result = "Bevel applied"
""", push_undo=True)All 54 existing tools are unchanged.
