@WatIsDeze WatIsDeze released this 15 Mar 20:27

At last a release again after a long long while. The supplied archive comes with the VS2022 Preview C/C++ Runtime setup, as well as a preconfigured(Game package included) TrenchBroom 2025.1.

In the "Developers" menu you will find a list of test maps and their corresponding description. This is a general maintainence release meaning all still is a Work In Progress. However it's close to being fully stand-alone. I took a bit of a liberty at packing it with a few q2rtx demo files, since we still rely slightly on those. (Explosion sprites to name a thing.)

Quite some effort was put into the new to be introduce "Signal" system. Where entities can emit/receive-and-respond to specific Signals. This is combined with on a per-map-domain Lua script. The target range map is an example of that. It's all still very minimal, "KISS"

Another note is that I still have NOT redone the player model animations, so third-person view or other clients might have somewhat incorrect animations.

(As such it is compatible with v0.0.5-dopefish branch source code, should you be a Linux user then you'll know what to do for your binary :-) )
