Following a record: a quiet stretch partway through a song no longer jumps to the next track. A gap only switches right away near the end of a song whose length is known; otherwise Liner Notes checks with Shazam first and moves on only if it's not the same song.
If a song's quiet passages fooled it once, it remembers that for the rest of the record and always checks with Shazam before leaving that song.
When a tracklist doesn't list a song's length, Liner Notes gets it from Apple Music.
Putting the needle back down partway through a side counts the song from there, instead of jumping ahead a few seconds later.
The medium (Vinyl, CD, Cassette...) is now its own button next to the song. Tap it to change what you're playing on; the record and the songs already played from it switch too. The side and track ("Side B · 3 of 5") sit beside it as plain information.
