The relationship map

A shared board of who at this table knows whom, and the biggest thing in this release.

One map is several named boards, each its own journal page, and two of them seat themselves: The Party, and the home board for the steading you are playing. Lay a board out by who knows whom in one of two shapes, or move a face by hand: drag it, or focus it and walk it with the arrow keys. Click a line and a bar opens over it, where the tie is captioned, inked, dashed, sized, pointed and rubbed out. Everything a line says is said on the line itself.

Draw a line by dragging from a portrait's handle; the half-drawn line says who it will land on. A board of forty people is still readable: the lines take the shortest way round the faces they are not about, each caption keeps clear of the portraits underneath it, and the words stay on at every zoom. The pen you draw with sticks to the map and is shared by everyone editing it.

Take a change back with the button on the board or with Ctrl+Z, per board and per reader. Boards start hidden from the players, and the GM shows one with the eye. A board can be opened from the steading sheet's own tab, from the hotbar macro (which lands on the board you were last on and asks nobody), or in its own window, which is where a map is renamed and deleted. Map rows are kept out of the Journal sidebar so they cannot be edited as raw journal pages by accident.

Every new world comes with a map ready to look at, and the next one asks what it should be called. The people chooser takes as many names as you tick and seats them in one go, off the lists the table already thinks in: the party, the steading's people, the followers, the neighbours.

Errata

The June 2026 errata are applied across the moves, playbooks, journals and lore, and guarded by tests so they cannot drift back. The Blessed's Favor is now Boon. The Defense track's rung labels are gone, as the errata has them.

Roll cards and attacks

A move's options are printed once per card, by the controls that carry them out, rather than repeated in prose beside them. The options on a tier are counted against what the move actually allows, a pick can be taken back, and a tier that never sent you to the list shows nothing to pick. A lead-in that lost its list now ends on a full stop instead of a dangling colon.

Every move that deals a character's damage runs the one flow, so the card, the pick list and the damage button behave the same wherever the attack came from.

The Blessed

The three moves that spend Stock at one trigger and roll at another (Veil, Amulets and Talismans, Wards and Bindings) now open a window with a Spend button and a Roll button, priced off the move's own printed text. The roll is never gated on the purse: a charm paid for last session can still be rolled for with an empty pouch.

The steading

The improvement builder is rebuilt around requirement rows, with a live preview of the card as the Improvements tab will draw it, and an added improvement can now be edited in place instead of being removed and re-added. Threats, Hazards and Sites are filed in the Chronicle where the rest of the GM's prep lives.

Around the table

GM moves post by clicking their name, to the whole table. A page citation is a control that opens the rulebook at that page, and the reader has a New tab button. Place names on map pins can be quieted per reader, from an eye beside the chat column, per scene. A world that could use weather on the map is offered FXMaster once. A provisions haul comes back on the house roll card. A live tab filter survives the re-render that follows any write. The board and the book both honour a reader who asked their system for less motion.

Fixes

The release diff was reviewed end to end and nine faults were fixed, each with the test that would have caught it: leaked hooks from a map window closed mid-render, an unsaved caption written to the wrong board, a second arrow-key nudge that discarded the first, a mid-drag click of another mouse button that dropped the portrait, the Blessed marks roster not opening for the two moves that lay a mark, pick options vanishing for a reader who had hidden move descriptions in chat, the map pin eye reading backwards on a scene of site pins, the improvement builder promising a heading it would not write, and the remove-improvement window promising back grants that were never applied.
