Mognitio v0.13.0 adds directory operations to Std\Io.

  • joinPath combines String paths lexically; it does not normalize paths or enforce filesystem containment.
  • readDirectory returns direct children as typed DirectoryEntry values, sorted by Unicode scalar order. Child symlinks are classified without following them; failures never return a partial List.
  • createDirectory creates one level or accepts an existing directory, preserving the OS umask/default ACL and group-inheritance rules.
  • IoOperation gains three variants; exhaustive matches must cover all eight.
  • Includes an explicit directory-converter example, operation-owned cleanup, phase-specific error handling and the reviewed native mmap/internal-latch fixes. Native test-child internal errors are reported to the parent with correct interruption accounting.

This is a source release for Linux amd64, with no prebuilt compiler. The compiler host requires glibc 2.34+, SBCL, ASDF, UIOP and SB-POSIX. Add the source checkout's real bin directory to PATH and use mgn. Ordinary generated ELF executables need neither SBCL nor libc.

Validation: 153 Lisp test groups, 7,670 assertions, 1,038 general-harness processes, and 765 additional Python checks, all passing. The source archive has 295 checksummed files. All 17 examples passed archive checks, including both converters' failure paths, language tests and source-absent native execution. See release validation for reproduction and evidence limits.

Release main merge: 3cbe1bfb8fe7902dc9b796606dc220f3bd866f29 (PR #62). The immutable annotated tag targets this merge commit. Its tree 1e52d6bc6cf082d52d698ec59c38289b6b62141a matches tested preparation HEAD c2da49c43a24689e27ba5ff93bed2e6f6b326932 and version candidate 69c2de470188420d78fa78aa88dea692f560d30b (PR #61).

Existing output symlinks, hardlinks or mount aliases may redirect writes; applications remain responsible for their output assumptions. Binary I/O, public File/Path handles, recursive filesystem mutation, defer and atomic writes remain outside this release. Other platforms, physical memory exhaustion recovery, arbitrary corruption, concurrent filesystem replacement, power-loss durability and performance are not certified. Backwards compatibility is not guaranteed before v1.0.0.
