OpenScreen Subscription 1.10.0-subscription.5

Windows x64 prerelease · 2026-08-30

This is the first public prerelease of the unofficial
PurplePrintAI/openscreen-subscription fork, based on upstream OpenScreen v1.10.0.
It is independently maintained and is not an upstream, OpenAI, or Anthropic release.

What this fork adds

  • Preserves Windows recording paths containing Korean and other non-ASCII text.
  • Connects an eligible ChatGPT subscription through the user-installed official
    Codex CLI app-server, without copying subscription credentials or inheriting
    API billing keys.
  • Connects the user's installed Claude Code CLI while leaving its authentication
    profile and billing environment under the CLI's control.
  • Discovers the Claude model catalog from the local CLI without sending an
    inference prompt.
  • Polishes AI chat layout, safe Markdown rendering, streaming, copy and rewind.
  • Displays a verified context window for recognized Codex, OpenAI, Claude and
    Anthropic model IDs. Runtime-reported values and explicit context variants take
    priority; unknown/custom gateway IDs remain unknown rather than receiving a guess.
  • Keeps the editable history reference separate from the model window. The usage
    numerator estimates selected conversation history only, so the percentage is
    approximate and never triggers automatic compaction.

Runtime requirements

  • Windows x64.
  • ChatGPT subscription mode requires a locally installed native Codex CLI.
  • Claude local mode requires the official native Claude Code CLI 2.1.238 or later
    and an account already signed in through that CLI.
  • API-key providers remain available without either subscription CLI.

Neither CLI is bundled in the installer. Model availability, quota and billing
follow the account and provider configuration active in each CLI.

Verification

  • Source commit: 354a469bb7b1a32294124a40803953f176787fa7.
  • GitHub CI, Nix dependency hash and diagnostic artifact workflows passed.
  • 2,241 unit tests passed; 4 skipped across 189 files.
  • App and test TypeScript, documentation, 13-locale i18n and Biome checks passed.
  • Production dependency audit: 0 vulnerabilities after updating ws to 8.21.3
    and nanoid to 3.3.18. Development dependency audit retains 5 findings.
  • Fresh Unicode-path WGC window capture succeeded; 3-second H.264 fragmented MP4,
    160 ms stop latency.
  • Packaged Claude Sonnet 5 UI showed a 1M model context window with no renderer errors.
  • The packaged CLI exported a fixture to 1920×1080 MP4 and the complete output decoded.
  • Packaged metadata, fork updater origin, licenses/notices, 19 native file hashes,
    MCP SDK license, absence of private runtime paths and compositor loading were verified.
  • The installer replaced the local .4 copy with .5; AI settings, API credential
    storage, Codex authentication metadata, the existing project and Start menu
    shortcut were preserved. The installed CLI export also decoded completely.

Known limitations

  • Unsigned installer. Windows may show an unknown-publisher or SmartScreen warning.
  • This pass did not repeat the full physical webcam, microphone, system-audio and
    multi-DPI release checklist. The native window capture and package export paths
    were exercised as described above.
  • Conversation persistence and provider-native session resume are not added here;
    Claude turns remain ephemeral and OpenScreen replays its selected history.
  • Context usage excludes system instructions, tool schemas, project data,
    reasoning tokens and model output.

Windows x64 전용이며 설치 파일은 코드 서명되지 않았습니다. ChatGPT 구독
연동에는 Codex CLI, Claude 연동에는 Claude Code CLI가 각각 로컬에 설치되어
있어야 합니다. 전체 물리 웹캠·마이크·다중 DPI 체크리스트는 이번 검증에서
반복하지 않았습니다.
