Breaking changes

• requests is no longer a runtime dependency (#953). pip install "quantecon[notebooks]" restores it. fetch_nb_dependencies is deprecated and will be removed at v1.0 (#954).

Behaviour changes

• random.draw: in Python mode, draw(cdf, np.int64(n)) now returns n draws, matching the jitted path. It previously returned a single draw for numpy-integer sizes (#955, reported in #918).

Deprecations

• PolymatrixGame.from_nf and to_nfg are deprecated in favour of from_normal_form_game and to_normal_form_game (#979).

New

• NFGReader / NFGWriter and the module-level from_nfg, from_nfg_string, from_nfg_url and to_nfg read and write the Gambit .nfg format (#978). The internal GAMPayoffVector is renamed PayoffVector, with no alias; it was never exported.
