v2.0.0 - Arche Extensions
The add-on is now a proper package named Arche Extensions, and there is a real Bind Weights button.
Upgrading? Remove the old single-file Arche FX - HumGen Tools add-on first - both register the same operators and will collide.
New: Bind Weights
Skins any garment using Auto-Rig Pro's PSEUDO_VOXELS binder, which works on a Rigify rig and not just ARP rigs, then cleans up: caps influences at 4, drops dead and non-deform groups, removes bones a garment must never follow, fills unweighted vertices, strips arm bleed off the chest, softens the seam, and normalises every vertex to exactly 1.0.
Measured against HumGen's own weighting on a 29,736-vertex shirt - clipping vertices across 7 poses:
| 7 poses | at rest | |
|---|---|---|
HumGen data_transfer NEAREST |
10,539 | 1,482 |
| ARP pseudo-voxel bind | 3,611 | 321 |
HumGen runs one data_transfer with no cleanup, leaving 72.9% of vertices not summing to 1, a median of 5 influences against the body's 2, and 58 empty vertex groups.
It never touches your body masks
Mask painting stays yours. The binder only changes weights.
Safety
Weights roll back on any failure, your pose is restored, body mask visibility is restored, and the voxel resolution is capped at 8 - resolution 12 ran 221 minutes to 20.5 GB before it had to be killed.
