RDL v0.1.3 Preview - shared controls and settings
Pre-release
Pre-release
One shared control setup across every arsenal, with a separate Settings window.
- Set common Doom keybinds once for all TC and weapons profiles. Click a key cell to capture keyboard keys, mouse buttons or wheel directions; numpad keys retain their KP names and Page Down is supported. Unlisted bindings and mod-specific actions are preserved.
- Choose always run, jumping, crouching, freelook, FOV, mouse sensitivity, display and audio options.
- Set HUD/UI/status-bar scaling and engine crosshair options. Custom TC HUDs can still use their own controls.
- Configure single-player, multiplayer hosting or joining, player appearance and friendly fire. Live multiplayer testing remains pending.
- Chosen RDL options run after the custom INI and imported startup commands. Blank fields and Keep existing preserve the engine's saved values. Disabling overrides does not reset values already saved by the engine.
- Engine selection now takes priority over BAT, custom-profile and saved-setup engine paths; Launch details agrees with the executed command. Missing selected engines are reported.
- Config's Clear INI disconnects the template without deleting it, selects a separate managed default config, and stays cleared after refresh/restart.
- Refreshed cursor-free interface media and a GIF showcasing all 28 themes.
Validation: 141 regression checks passed. Focused WPF fixtures exercised key capture/save/reopen, selected-executable launch and Clear INI persistence. UZDoom startup probes accepted the shared options and confirmed precedence over isolated custom INIs. These checks do not establish full gameplay compatibility or live multiplayer behavior.
Windows x64 and .NET Framework 4.8. No games, engines, WADs, mods, source code, developer tools or personal settings are included.
