Customizing Sound Profiles

Profiles let you keep multiple BLU setups without rebuilding every sound choice from scratch.

What A Profile Stores

A BLU profile can store:

  • selected sounds for each event
  • BLU-native low, medium, or high volume choices
  • module enable and disable state
  • general behavior settings
  • custom sounds added to that profile

This makes profiles useful for:

  • different characters
  • different classes or roles
  • streamer vs. normal play setups
  • quiet vs. louder sound configurations

Managing Profiles

Open /blu, then go to the Profiles tab.

From there you can:

  • create a new profile
  • rename the selected profile
  • reset the active profile
  • copy the active profile
  • apply a preset to the active profile

Suggested Setup Patterns

Per Character

Create a separate profile for each character if you want different sound identities per alt.

Per Content Type

Use one profile for:

  • general questing
  • group content
  • quieter play sessions

Test Profile

Keep one profile just for:

  • trying new sound packs
  • testing custom sounds
  • experimenting with event combinations

Presets

Presets are quick starting points that can be applied to the active profile.

Use a preset when you want:

  • a ready-made BLU setup
  • a base configuration to edit later
  • a fast reset into a curated sound style

Applying a preset changes the active profile's saved settings.

Tips

  • Copy a profile before making large changes if you might want to go back.
  • Keep at least one profile as your stable everyday setup.
  • Use the Sounds tab to manage custom files tied to your current profile.
  • If you remove a custom sound, check your event tabs afterward to make sure nothing is still pointing at it.
