Installation Instructions
This page covers the current BLU installation flow for WoW Retail.
BLU is available from:
Install BLU into:
World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\
The extracted addon folder should end up as:
World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\BLU\
BLU.toc should be directly inside that BLU folder.
- Download the latest BLU release.
- Extract the archive.
- Copy the
BLUfolder intoWorld of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\. - Launch WoW.
- On the character-select screen, open
AddOns. - Make sure
BLUis enabled.
- Open the CurseForge app.
- Search for
BLUorBetter Level Up!. - Install the addon.
- Launch WoW and confirm BLU is enabled.
- Open the Wago app.
- Search for
BLU. - Install the addon.
- Launch WoW and confirm BLU is enabled.
After installing BLU:
- Log in to a character.
- Type
/blu. - Open the
General,Sounds, and event tabs to choose your initial setup.
Useful slash commands:
/blu
/blu help
/blu refresh
/blu rescan
If you plan to add personal custom sound files, the recommended folder is:
Interface\AddOns\BLU\user\sounds\
BLU can also resolve supported files from several other AddOns paths. See BLU Sound Pack Guide for the full list.
If BLU installs but does not show up or does not play sounds:
