Introduction

This page will guide you through the process of installing the BLU | Better Level Up! add-on for World of Warcraft. Whether you prefer manual installation or using an app like CurseForge or Wago, we've got you covered. Additionally, if you're interested in testing new features, you can access the alpha branch of BLU on CurseForge.

1. Where to Download BLU

You can download the BLU add-on from several sources:

• CurseForge: The most popular platform for World of Warcraft add-ons. The alpha branch is also available here for testing new features.

2. Manual Installation

2.1 Downloading BLU

1. Choose a Download Source:

   • Visit any of the links provided above to download the BLU add-on.
   • If you want to test the latest features, you can download the alpha version from CurseForge.

2. Download the Add-On:

   • Click on the download button for the latest version of BLU (or select the alpha version if preferred).
   • The add-on will be downloaded as a compressed file (usually .zip or .rar).

2.2 Extracting the Files

1. Locate the Downloaded File:

   • After the download is complete, navigate to your downloads folder.

2. Extract the Files:

   • Right-click on the compressed file and select Extract All... (Windows) or Open with > Archive Utility (Mac).
   • Extract the contents to a folder of your choice.

2.3 Moving the Files to the WoW AddOns Directory

1. Locate Your WoW AddOns Folder:

   • The default path depends on your version of WoW:
     • Retail: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Interface\AddOns\
     • Classic: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_classic_\Interface\AddOns\
     • Classic Era: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_classic_era_\Interface\AddOns\

   (On Mac, replace C:\Program Files (x86)\ with Applications/World of Warcraft/)

2. Move the BLU Folder:

   • Copy the extracted BLU folder into the AddOns directory you identified in the previous step.

3. Verify Installation:

   • Open the BLU folder in the AddOns directory. It should contain files like BLU.toc and subfolders like sounds and images.

2.4 Launching WoW and Enabling BLU

1. Launch World of Warcraft:

   • Start the game using your preferred method.

2. Enable the Add-On:

   • On the character selection screen, click the AddOns button in the lower left corner.
   • Find BLU in the list and ensure it is checked.

3. Enjoy the Add-On:

   • Log in to your character and start enjoying BLU’s enhanced sound experience!

3.1 Installing the CurseForge App

1. Download the App:

2. Install the App:

3.2 Installing BLU via CurseForge

1. Launch the CurseForge App:

   • Open the app after installation.

2. Find BLU:

   • Use the search bar to find BLU (Better Level Up!).

3. Select the Version:

   • If you want the stable release, click Install.
   • To access the alpha version, click on the Versions tab, select the Alpha filter, and then click Install on the desired alpha build.

4. Verify Installation:

   • Open WoW and verify that BLU is enabled in the AddOns menu.

4.1 Installing the Wago App

1. Download the App:

2. Install the App:

   • Run the installer and follow the instructions to set up the app.

4.2 Installing BLU via Wago

1. Launch the Wago App:

   • Open the app after installation.

2. Search for BLU:

   • Enter BLU (Better Level Up!) in the search bar.

3. Install the Add-On:

   • Click Install to download and install BLU directly to your WoW AddOns directory.

4. Verify Installation:
