Installation Instructions

Overview

Follow these steps to install the BLU | Better Level Up! add-on for World of Warcraft. You can choose between manual installation or using popular add-on managers like CurseForge and Wago. The alpha branch is also available on CurseForge for testing new features.

1. Download BLU

Download the add-on from one of these sources:

2. Manual Installation

2.1 Extract the Files

  1. Download the .zip or .rar file from your chosen source.
  2. Extract the contents:
    • Windows: Right-click and select Extract All...
    • Mac: Use Open with > Archive Utility

2.2 Move to AddOns Directory

  1. Locate the appropriate AddOns folder:

    • Retail: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\
    • Classic: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns\
    • Classic Era: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_era_\Interface\AddOns\
    • (Mac users, replace C:\Program Files (x86)\ with Applications/World of Warcraft/)

  2. Copy the extracted BLU folder into this directory.

2.3 Enable BLU in WoW

  1. Launch World of Warcraft.
  2. Go to the character selection screen and click AddOns.
  3. Ensure that BLU is checked.

3. Install via CurseForge App

3.1 Set Up CurseForge

  1. Download the CurseForge app from here.
  2. Install the app following the on-screen instructions.

3.2 Install BLU

  1. Search for BLU (Better Level Up!) in the CurseForge app.

  2. Select the version:

    • Stable: Click Install.
    • Alpha: Go to Versions, filter by Alpha, and click Install.

  3. Verify installation in the AddOns menu in WoW.

4. Install via Wago App

4.1 Set Up Wago

  1. Download the Wago app from here.
  2. Install the app following the on-screen instructions.

4.2 Install BLU

  1. Search for BLU (Better Level Up!) in the Wago app.
  2. Click Install to add BLU to your WoW AddOns directory.
  3. Verify installation in the AddOns menu in WoW.
