Hibiscus 0.8.4 makes Quick Capture dependable in the background and adds native Finder import.

  • ⌘⇧U can save notes even when the main Hibiscus window has never opened or has been closed.
  • Capture save failures now show a readable message directly in the capture bar.
  • Finder’s “Open With” menu now offers Hibiscus for supported text, Markdown, PDF, Word, and rich-text documents without changing the system default app.
  • A new “Start Hibiscus at Login” menu option keeps Quick Capture ready from sign-in. ⌘Q still quits Hibiscus completely.
