Some movies don't show up on import (even manual), but are labeled perfectly

Is there an existing issue for this?

• I have searched the existing open and closed issues

Current Behavior

• I import the folder of movies. It's actually been years, I tried fresh, same issue.
• All movies are named perfectly through automation "XYZ (XXXX)/XYZ (XXXX).XYZ"
• There are random movies that are not imported into the list. So for example, on collections view, it suggests I grab it. Even the folder it suggests I create on the popup (if I click it) is identical to the folder that already exists.

• I tried a manual import, and it doesn't know what the movie is, noting "unknown movie." I also can't tag it to the right one, because I didn't suggest to grab it. Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/kdnvzNp
• Lastly, it's hard to find which movies it's skipping or why. I can't find anything in the logs that it even looked at that folder in the first place.

Expected Behavior

I expect all folders/video files to be imported, or a list of errors to show me any issues.

• Manual Imports from the movie index should not be pointed at your library folder.
• Manual Import is only for ad-hoc file imports or imports from within a movie's folder from the movie screen.
• Manual Import requires the movie to already exist in radarr. You cannot add movies to radarr via manual import nor does anything imply you can.
• Library Import is what is to be used to import existing organized movies to radarr. the user confirms the movie radarr matched the folder to.

Responses in line. The only reason I did manual import is to try and find an error message. The core to this issue is that it randomly doesn't see or create movie pages for properly named folders/movies - as shown with the Sing 2 example. Happy to try anything else too.

• That is correct. It doesn't even show up at all, and if I search the movie, its the screen as if I don't have it and want to monitor for it.

Yeah - you need to add the movie to radarr. Manual Import does not do that.

Use Library Import to import and map existing folders or Add New to add new movies.

I must not be explaining properly. I use library import - to map and import existing folders. Radarr does not detect multiple movies AT ALL using this method. Why is that not a bug?

All provided info, issue description including logs and screenshots were relating to manual import which has nothing relating to do with adding new movies to radarr. Manual Import cannot and is not used for adding movies to radarr so the GHI is invalid as-is and not at all a bug.

library import shows every single unmapped folder in your library folder. if your movies are not showing then radarr cannot see the folders or you've already assigned the folders to a different movie. You can view all movie's paths by table view in the index.

Im not sure how to generate that with trace logs on - because this library import happened a year ago. Is there a way to manually trigger it again while I have trace logging activated to see it? I’m happy to do it and provide the additional info w some guidance.

Library Import is not a one time locked action. There is nothing that prevents you from doing it an infinite number of times. You just click the path from library import.

Given your issues, presumably unmapped folders is > 0 as well?
