CC Switch 3.20.1 — Issue 7129 _test
Pre-releaseIssue farion1231#7129 test build
Testing prerelease for upstream PR #7132, based on CC Switch 3.20.1.
The fix shares the Codex OAuth client identity (codex_cli_rs / 0.153.4) between model discovery and generation. It addresses the reported GPT-6 HTTP 400 error requiring a newer Codex client.
Downloads and testing
- Windows x64: download
CC-Switch-Issue-7129-Test.exeandStart-Test.cmdinto the same folder, then runStart-Test.cmd. - Apple Silicon Mac: download and extract
CC-Switch-Issue-7129-macos-15.zip. - Intel Mac: download and extract
CC-Switch-Issue-7129-macos-15-intel.zip. - Either Mac: place
Start-Mac-Test.commandbeside the extractedCC Switch Issue 7129 Test.app, then runbash Start-Mac-Test.commandfrom that folder.
Use the launchers to keep configuration in a separate test-profile folder. Directly launching the application uses your normal home-directory configuration. Close your normal CC Switch before enabling local routing to avoid a port conflict. The Windows build is unsigned. The Mac apps now have verified ad-hoc bundle signatures, but are not Developer ID signed or notarized. After attempting to open the Mac app, use System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway if macOS blocks it, then retry the isolated launcher. Tauri documents this requirement for ad-hoc test apps.
To exercise the fix, add the Codex OAuth preset in the Claude Code tab, sign in with ChatGPT, fetch models, and select gpt-6-astra for the default/Sonnet/Opus mappings. Enable local routing, run Claude Code with CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR pointing to the test profile's .claude directory, and send a short message with the Opus mapping. An account with access to the model is required.
Verification and limits
- Both regression tests failed with the old identity and passed with the fix.
- Windows x64, macOS ARM64, and macOS Intel each passed 70 Rust adapter/discovery tests, 15 frontend tests, type checking, production builds, and startup checks. Platform verification run.
- Live Windows A/B requests to the official Codex endpoint: the old identity returned the reported HTTP 400; the new identity returned HTTP 200 and
OK. These direct requests verify the identity change; regression tests cover the production request builders. - GPT-6 appeared in discovery before and after on the tested account, so the original missing-model-list symptom was not reproduced.
- Mac verification covers native tests, builds, and startup; authenticated live generation was checked on Windows only.
- The broader Windows library suite had 2,762 passed, 3 failed, and 6 ignored. All three failures reproduced on unchanged upstream: two missing symlink privilege errors and one occupied-port error. Integration tests were not reached.
Source fix: ae826835783f45a84474b0b53c50b2a9cdfc226d. The Windows EXE was built locally from this fix. Mac artifacts came from validation commit 99edd0e9aa5a538737eca6a590e72504216bc3eb, which adds only the fork's verification workflow to the same source. The release tag points to the source fix. SHA-256 checksums are attached.
Mac packaging correction (2026-09-05)
The initial Mac downloads contained only the executable's linker signature, leaving the app bundle unsealed. This reproduced the reported code has no resources but signature indicates they must be present failure on both architectures. The replacement archives contain the same built application code with a complete ad-hoc bundle signature.
Packaging verification checks the original archive checksum, reproduces the old signature failure, signs the bundle, verifies it with codesign --verify --deep --strict, and repeats verification after ZIP extraction. Each extracted app must stay running and log that its main window was shown. This runs on macOS 15 ARM64 and Intel; launch on the reporter's macOS 26.5.1 remains to be confirmed. Gatekeeper approval is still required because these testing apps are not notarized.
Download the Mac ZIP again and extract a fresh copy. The original Apple Silicon checksum beginning 83c48959 identifies the superseded package; use the updated attached SHA256SUMS.txt for the corrected downloads.
