What's new

  • Context ring colors show estimated cache warmth, with minutes remaining in the tooltip.
  • The conversation's API token cost appears beside the context ring, using recorded cache reads and writes.
  • Optional idle refreshes keep context warm for a chosen duration, with a toggle for each chat.
  • Custom models appear in the Desktop model picker, with settings inside the app.
  • CodexZero Desktop has its own icon and launcher.

Windows Desktop

After installing, launch the new Desktop features with:

codex-zero desktop --providers

Open Settings > Agent > Context cache to configure idle refreshes. They start turned off.

The Desktop additions are for Windows. CLI packages remain available for Windows x64, Intel Mac, and Apple silicon Mac.
