Cadjitsu 1.7.0
Cadjitsu 1.7 lets you delete bodies: select one and press Delete. As in Fusion 360, a Remove step joins the timeline, so nothing upstream is lost and undo always brings it back.

Delete bodies
- Select and press Delete (or Backspace): on the canvas (double-click a body, or drag a box round it) or in the browser. Several at once work too.
- Right-click a body in the browser > Delete ("Delete 2 Bodies" for a selection), or Edit > Delete Body.
- A Remove step, not lost work. The body is gone from that point of the timeline on; the features that made it stay. Undo, or delete the Remove step from the timeline, brings it back; suppress the step or roll back before it to see the body again. Features after it, on the other bodies, carry on.
- Inside a sketch, Delete still deletes sketch geometry.
AI agents (MCP)
delete_bodies {bodies}: the same Remove step. Use it, notdelete_feature, to drop one body a feature made among others.
Cadjitsu 1.6.0
Cadjitsu 1.6 adds dark mode: one click on the moon button and the whole app goes dark, the canvas included, easy on the eyes for long modelling sessions. Light stays the default, exactly as before.

Dark mode
- One button. The moon at the top right of the ribbon, next to MCP, turns everything dark at once; it becomes a sun that turns it back. Cadjitsu remembers the choice next time it opens. Also View > Dark Mode.
- Match system. Settings > Appearance > Theme: Light, Dark, or Match system, which follows the computer's light / dark appearance, and switches with it.
- Everything goes dark: the ribbon and its menus, the browser, the timeline, command panels and their guides, dialogs, the sketch palette, value boxes, the navigation bar, and the canvas background and grid.
- Colours that mean something stay: the selection blue, Align's orange and blue, errors and warnings, the axes, the "computing" yellow and the materials keep their colours.
- Still readable: icon outlines, fixed sketch lines, dimensions and their labels, guide arrows, and the rims of check boxes and radio buttons turn light so they show on the dark panels. The ViewCube stays light, as in Fusion 360.
Cadjitsu 1.5.0
Cadjitsu 1.5 adds Align, as in Fusion 360: put one part exactly against another in three clicks, on bodies and in sketches. The dialog guides you as you go: it says what to click next, then in plain words what the pair you picked will do, and previews the move live.

Align (MODIFY, shortcut A)
-
Three picks, in order. Bodies: what moves (the body you clicked first is already in). From (orange): a vertex, edge or face on it. To (blue): where it goes: a vertex, edge or face of another body, or an origin plane or axis. Each pick moves on to the next field; click a field to pick it again.
-
A guide that keeps up. The panel says what to do next ("Step 2 of 3 — Click a point, an edge or a face FROM on it"), then what will happen ("Point → point: It moves so the orange point sits on the blue point"). A pick that cannot work says why.
-
See it before you commit. From glows orange, To blue, a dashed arrow runs from one to the other, and the moved bodies are previewed live.
From → To What it does point → point moves so the points meet point → edge / face moves straight onto it edge → edge the edges line up end to end along one line (round edges and faces: their axes line up) face → face the faces meet flat, centre to centre, facing each other edge → face the edge comes to lie in the face -
Flip turns it the other way round, Angle turns it about the aligned line or normal, Copy keeps the original and adds the moved copy.
-
A timeline step. The moved bodies keep their face names, so fillets, holes and threads made on them later still hold; Edit Feature reopens it with every pick.
Align in sketches (SKETCH > MODIFY, right-click menu)
- The same three picks in 2D: the geometry to move, a point or line on it, and a point, line, the origin or an axis to bring it to. A line is anchored at the end nearer the click. Flip, Angle and Copy as above; one undo step.
AI agents (MCP)

Cadjitsu 1.4.0
Cadjitsu 1.4 makes threads you can print and use: pick any hole or post, choose a size, and get a real helical thread that runs right through, fitted to that size on its own axis, with a countersink for the screw to start on. It adds the extra-fine UNEF series (1/2-28 and friends) and a new front page with screenshots.

What's new in 1.4
Threads that print and fit
- Any hole or post, any size. Pick a hole's wall or a post and a size: the cylinder is first fitted to the thread on its own axis. A hole too big is filled and bored again, one too small opened; a post too thin is grown out, one too fat turned down. The panel says what will happen ("A 12.70 mm hole, filled and bored to 1/2-28 UNEF").
- Always modelled. Every thread is a real helical ISO profile with print clearance (0.15 mm by default). It runs right out through open faces; at a blind bottom or a shoulder it fades out to the root. A post's tip gets a 45° chamfer.
- Countersinks. A threaded hole gets a countersink so a screw starts true: on the Top (the face drilled into, by default), the Bottom or Both, with the included Angle (90° metric, 82° inch, 100°, 120°) and the Diameter at the face (blank: a little over the thread). The same options are on Hole > Tapped.
- Recent sizes first. The five thread sizes you used last head the size lists, in the Thread tool and in Hole > Tapped.
- Never held up. A long thread is computed in the background and abandoned the moment you pick something else; while a preview takes a while, the panel says Computing the preview… and the hole lights up in yellow.
More sizes
- UNEF extra fine, #12 to 7/8" (1/2-28, 3/4-20…), and the in-between UNC and UNF sizes (#2, #5, #12, 9/16", 7/8").
AI agents (MCP)
thread:countersink,countersink_ends,countersink_angle,countersink_diameter; any hole or post takes anysize.- Tapped
hole:thread_countersink,thread_countersink_ends,thread_countersink_angle,thread_countersink_diameter.
Front page
- The README is now a landing page with pictures of what Cadjitsu makes, all built through the MCP tools by the
showcaseself test (scripts/readme_images.shrenders them again).
Changed
- The Thread Type choice is gone: threads are always modelled (
modeandthread_modeare ignored over MCP). Designs that left small threads as a tap drill now get the thread. - Countersinks go on the top end by default, not both ends.
Cadjitsu 1.3.0
Cadjitsu 1.3 turns photos into parts: put a photo on a plane, correct its lens and perspective, and trace the part into a sketch at true size. It also brings Revolve and Shell, and the everyday sketch tools Trim, Extend, Fillet, Slot and Polygon. AI agents can now do all of it too: they see the photo with a millimetre grid, trace it and add your caliper measurements.

Reverse engineering from photos
- Canvas (SOLID > INSERT, or File): a picture on an origin plane, construction plane or planar face, see-through under your sketch. It is saved in the design, sits in the browser's Canvases folder, and every change is one undo step.
- Calibrate: click two marks a known distance apart (a ruler, a coin, a caliper's jaws) and type the real distance.
- Correct Lens: click along a few edges that are straight in reality; the barrel or pincushion bend of a phone or wide-angle lens is measured and taken out. A preview shows the straightened photo.
- Correct Perspective: lay the part on a sheet of paper, click the sheet's corners and type its size (A4 by default); the photo becomes a true top view at scale.
- Trace Canvas (SKETCH > CREATE): hover the part and its outline previews, fitted with lines, arcs and circles, holes included; click to add it with horizontal, vertical and tangent constraints. Type a sensitivity to take in more or less.
- Views (SOLID > INSERT): pictures from the front, the right side and the top, set up on XZ, YZ and XY at one scale from a single measured size, lined up as a projection. It warns when the views disagree.
Solids
- Revolve: turn profiles about a sketch line, an edge or an axis; one side, symmetric or two sides; new body, join, cut or intersect.
- Shell: hollow a body to an even wall, removing the faces you pick (or with a closed void); inside or outside. It warns when walls are thinner than two extrusion lines.
Sketch
- Trim (T): click or drag across pieces to cut them back to the nearest crossings. Text moves to Shift+T.
- Extend: run a line or arc on to the next curve.
- Fillet: round a corner with a tangent arc; the lines' dimensions still measure to the sharp corner.
- Slot and Polygon (inscribed, or across flats for nut traps; Space switches).

Cadjitsu 1.2.0
Cadjitsu 1.2 brings Fusion 360-style sketch tools: mirror and circular patterns with live dialogs, construction lines, and lines projected from other sketches that stay linked to them.

Mirror (SKETCH > MODIFY, or right-click)
- A dialog opens at once: Objects, then the Mirror Line, a line or a sketch axis, named in the dialog ("Y axis").
- The mirror image shows before you commit, and it stays symmetric to the original when the original changes.
- Points on the mirror line are shared, so half an outline drawn up to the line becomes one closed profile.
Circular Pattern
- A dialog: Objects, Centre Point (a point, the origin or anywhere), Quantity (the original included) and Angle.
- The copies redraw as you type. Copied dimensions follow the original's.
Picking in the dialogs
- Click a field to pick into it; its × clears it.
- Box-select Objects: drag left to right for what lies inside, right to left for what the box touches.
Construction geometry
- Press X, or right-click a line and choose Make Construction / Make Normal.
- Construction lines are dotted and never make profiles; they are guides for the drawing.
Project (P)
- Earlier sketches show faintly; click their lines, circles, arcs or points to bring them into this sketch, usually from another plane.
- Projected geometry is purple and fixed, and follows its original when it changes. It works as a normal line, and can be made construction and back.
Browser
- Right-click a sketch for Edit Sketch or Delete. It asks first if features use the sketch, and one undo brings it back.
AI agents (MCP)
sketch_mirror,sketch_pattern,project_to_sketchandset_construction.- Sketches report their curves with ids, so an agent can pick them.
Cadjitsu 1.1.0
Cadjitsu 1.1 shows what a part will look like once printed. Each body gets a filament, finish and colour; it stands on a Snapmaker U1-style PEI build plate; a live physically based preview and a path tracer render it.

What's new in 1.1
Print materials per body
- Filament: PLA, PETG or TPU.
- Finish: matte, silk or semitransparent.
- Colour: named filament colours (Signal Red, Silk Gold, Ice Blue, ...) or any colour. New bodies are grey matte PLA.
- Browser: each body shows its colour as a dot on its icon. "Material..." on a body opens the Render dialog for it.
- Undo: material changes are undo steps, and they are saved with the design.
Lifelike rendering
- Build plate: a double-sided PEI spring-steel sheet like the Snapmaker U1's (276 x 293 mm, 270 x 270 mm print area, grab tab), on a black heated bed.
- Textured PEI, with its golden powder-coat grain, or smooth PEI, which mirrors the model.
- The model is centred on it, or placed as in a slicer.
- The print's surface:
- layer lines on the walls;
- staircase steps on slopes;
- top-skin lines at +45 / -45 degrees;
- the plate's texture copied onto bottom faces.
- Materials:
- matte filaments are rough and low-gloss;
- silk filaments have tinted highlights that stretch across the layers;
- semitransparent prints are hazy and show what's behind them, according to the walls and infill light crosses.
- Live preview (the Rendered style):
- studio or daylight lighting;
- soft shadows that sharpen near the part, tinted by semitransparent parts;
- contact shadows and reflections.
- Ray tracing:
- when the view rests, a path tracer takes over the canvas and refines the picture, denoised with Intel Open Image Denoise;
- light bounces between parts and through semitransparent plastic, with true shadows and reflections;
- moving the view goes back to the live preview at once.
- Render dialog (SOLID > INSPECT > Render): menus for bodies, filament, finish, colour, layer height and lines, infill, build plate and placement, lighting, preview or ray traced, and draft or final quality. Every change shows at once. Save Image writes a path-traced picture up to 3840 x 2160.
AI agents (MCP)
set_materialsets what bodies are printed in, several bodies in one undo step.set_rendersets the plate, lighting, layer height and infill.render_imagesaves a path-traced picture of the view.get_designreports each body's material and the render settings.- The skill advises on choosing filaments and finishes.
Notes
- The downloads are larger, because they carry the ray tracer (Embree) and the denoiser.
- The plate's colours are an approximation of the U1's sheet and may be refined.
Cadjitsu 1.0.0
Cadjitsu 1.0 is the first release: parametric CAD for 3D-printable parts, with Fusion 360's workflow and mouse bindings, and an MCP server that lets AI agents model with it.
