Releases: Riqqqque/Helix
Release list
Helix 1.8.0
Helix 1.8.0 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.

Changed
- Home layout editing is rebuilt around a real 12-column grid. Drag a widget by
its title bar and it follows the cursor; the other widgets move out of the way
as you go and settle upward, so a widget can be dropped anywhere, including
under a shorter widget that sits beside a tall one. Drag a widget's corner to
resize it by columns and rows. Escape cancels a drag. Select a widget and use
the arrow keys to nudge it, or Shift and the arrow keys to resize. - Widgets keep exactly the same size in edit mode. The edit controls float over
the tile instead of adding a row to it, and widget settings (now including the
title and the exact width and height) open in a panel above the grid instead
of inside the widget. - Each widget's position is saved with the layout. Existing layouts are placed
automatically the first time and keep their order. - On narrow windows Home stacks widgets in one column; moving and resizing wait
for a wider window.
Fixed
- Adding a Shortcut widget stopped the Home layout from saving ("Using this
browser's saved copy") until a web address was typed, because the server
rejected a shortcut without one. An empty shortcut now saves; a filled-in
address must still be an http or https link.
Helix 1.7.2
Helix 1.7.2 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.
- 2026-09-29
Fixed
- Copy did nothing for API tokens, Hytale sign-in codes, and the machine
hub's SSH key when the dashboard is opened over plain HTTP on a LAN, where
browsers block the clipboard API. These buttons now use the same fallback as
the join-address Copy button and say "Couldn't copy" if both paths fail.
Helix 1.7.1
Helix 1.7.1 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.
- 2026-09-28
Fixed
- The host broker no longer refuses to start when a configured storage folder
has been removed, for example after uninstalling AMP. It skips the missing
folder with a warning and keeps running; folders that exist but are unsafe
are still refused.
Helix 1.7.0
Helix 1.7.0 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.

Added
- Copy a finished setup from one Helix Minecraft server to another, for example
from a test server to the public one: Advanced → Copy to another server,
POST /api/v1/servers/{id}/transfer(with a read-only/transfer/preflight),
or the token operationsserver_transfer_preflightand
transfer_server_content. Choose plugins and their settings, mods, server
configuration, datapacks, gameplay settings, player lists, all plugin data, or
worlds. By default plugin databases, logs, and player files stay on the target. - The source is packed read-only in a locked-down container as its own user, so
links inside it cannot reach host files. The target gets a verified backup, is
stopped, written without following links, started again, and checked; any
failure restores the backup. - A newer plugin or mod JAR replaces the target JAR with the same declared plugin
or mod name, so version upgrades do not leave duplicate plugins. Optionally
remove target JARs the source no longer has. - Gameplay settings move while the target keeps its ports, RCON, world name,
seed, player limit, MOTD, and whitelist settings. Plugins only move between
plugin servers, mods between the same loader, and worlds never onto an older
Minecraft version. - Tokens can run transfers when they list both servers, with
files.readand
files.write(Full access covers it).
Helix 1.6.0
Helix 1.6.0 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.

Added
- Server API tokens can be viewed again. View token asks for your dashboard
password, then shows the value. Helix keeps an encrypted copy (XChaCha20-Poly1305
via the existing secret store) whose key lives insecrets/under the data
directory, outsidestate/, so a copied state database or state backup does
not reveal tokens. Viewing is audited. Tokens made before this release have no
copy; rotate one once to make it viewable. - Full access token permission (
all): every server permission on the
selected servers, including ones added later, in one click. Host controls stay
out of reach. Permissions also get Select all and plain names. - Tokens can now install marketplace plugins and mods (
files.write), search the
marketplace (view), empty backup trash (backups.write), open a server to
the internet (network), and move a server to Removed servers (remove).
Creating a token withnetworkor Full access needs the firewall permission.
Fixed
- Dashboard preferences were never saved to the server ("Preference service
unavailable · using the browser copy") because the server did not know the
Machines page and rejected every save. Older dashboards that send the previous
page list are repaired instead of rejected.
Helix 1.5.2
Helix 1.5.2 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.
- 2026-09-26
Fixed
- A port added on the Ports card (for example the Simple Voice Chat preset) no
longer disappears a few seconds later when the server page refreshes. Unsaved
ports stay until you save or discard them.
Helix 1.5.1
Helix 1.5.1 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.
- 2026-09-26
Fixed
- The copy dialog's name follows the chosen source instead of keeping the first
server's name after switching. - Memory sizes from AMP read as rounded values such as 3.9 GiB instead of long
fractions. - Copies no longer carry loose launcher JARs such as
paperclip.jaror
fabric.jar; Helix installs its own server JAR.
Helix 1.5.0
Helix 1.5.0 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.

Changed
- Copying a server from AMP or Pterodactyl keeps it the same server. Helix reads
the Minecraft version the world last ran from the server's own files (log,
Paper version history, or version folders) instead of trusting panel
settings, and refuses to install an older version or silently install the
newest one over an existing world. - A copy can keep its original game port, so players and router forwarding work
unchanged. Helix allows it only when the stopped source instance is the sole
owner of that port. - Ports that plugins and mods open on their own — Simple Voice Chat, BlueMap,
Dynmap, and Geyser — are read from their configs and opened on the new server.
Any that are taken are listed with the reason instead of failing the copy. - The copy dialog shows the version guard, the kept port, the add-on ports, and
a finished summary with the address and what to do with the old instance. - A port that another program already holds now says so, rather than only
"already in use".
Fixed
- Copied
server.propertiesno longer keeps a panel'sserver-ip, which bound
to the host address and stopped the server starting inside its container. - Custom JAR copies use the Java version their Minecraft version needs instead
of always Java 21.
Helix 1.4.0
Helix 1.4.0 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.

Changed
- The Ports card matches each game and server software: Paper and other plugin
servers get Simple Voice Chat, BlueMap, Dynmap, and Geyser presets with the
rightplugins/config path, mod loaders get theconfig/path, and Vanilla,
Pumpkin, Hytale, and the other games get no Minecraft presets. The game port
shows its real protocol (for example UDP (QUIC) for Hytale). - Server software updates on the Advanced tab are one card with three clear
choices — update build, change version, or repair files — one confirmation,
and a result that says what changed. An update that is already current
returns immediately without a backup or restart. - Backups: clearer automatic-cleanup fields, the trash shows its total size,
when each deleted backup was originally made, a warning past 20 GiB, and an
Empty trash action. Helix still never empties the trash on its own. - Marketplace reads are cached for a minute, so returning to results or
reopening the tab is instant; installs refresh installed badges. - Network lists real interfaces first and folds Docker bridges and loopback.
- New server shows all games in a compact grid; the Servers list only shows
filters for games you have.
Fixed
- The join-address card on a server's Overview laid its LAN, Tailscale, and
public addresses out in one stretched column because of a CSS selector
collision; the diagnostics line no longer repeats itself. - Spacing around the Ports card and in dialogs (paragraphs no longer run
together, for example in Remove server). - Form fields used the browser's default text size instead of Helix's.
- A server's Files tab could browse above the server's own folder into other
servers' data; it now stays inside the server. - Helix-managed servers that are stopped were labelled "AMP stopped".
- Paper servers showed their software twice ("Paper Paper 26.2").
- Security showed raw probe values for AppArmor and Fail2ban.
- Hook buttons said "Stoping…".
Helix 1.3.0
Helix 1.3.0 is a numbered private-LAN release. Keep it on a network you control. Public-internet exposure is not supported.
The dashboard Update Helix control uses these SHA-256-pinned source assets. It does not use git pull. Game containers are not replaced.
- 2026-09-26
Added
- Extra ports for Helix game servers. A Ports card on each server's
Overview lists the game port and lets you open up to 16 more (TCP, UDP, or
both) for plugins and mods with their own listener — with one-click presets
for Simple Voice Chat (24454/UDP), BlueMap, Dynmap, and Geyser. Saving
checks the port is free on the host and not used by another server, then
recreates the container with the ports published and restarts it if it was
running. Also available asPUT /api/v1/servers/{instance_id}/portsand to
server tokens with thesettingspermission.
Upgrade note
- A server with extra ports saved cannot be loaded by a broker older than
1.3.0. Remove its extra ports before rolling the broker back.
