Repeating timers

• Repeat timers a chosen number of times or keep them repeating until stopped.
• Choose a ringing timeout for each timer.
• Preserve repeating-timer settings and progress in clock backups.

Alarms and snooze

• Choose a ringing timeout for each alarm and use Missed restart to ring again after a chosen delay until dismissed.
• Count snooze intervals from when the current ringing started.
• Fix one-time alarm rearming, upcoming reminders, and backup imports.

Ringing and controls

• Improve audio focus and start volume ramps at the selected initial volume.
• Avoid accidental face-down dismissals when the phone is already face down.
• Show a Missed restart information popup with a title, a short explanation, and a Close button. Keep the option's description aligned with other options.
• Tap the stopwatch digits to start or pause.

Shared groups and compatibility

• Allow Jay 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 devices to remain in the same groups.
• Shared repeats, missed-alarm restarts, and per-item ringing timeouts become available in 1.2.5 after the Jay server is updated and the device synchronises. Until then, shared alarms and timers retain their previous behaviour.
• Devices on 1.2.4 use their global ringing limits, do not schedule later timer repeats, and cannot restart missed alarms offline. Update every group device to 1.2.5 for consistent behaviour with these features.

Shared sounds

• Deliver custom shared sounds to other group devices, including Jay Lite, after syncing.
• Allow members with Play access or a profile grant to upload new shared sounds, while every member can receive and play them. Group editors can reuse sounds already uploaded to their group.
• Choose media files with an audio track the device can decode, including video files, as custom sounds. Jay converts shared sounds for delivery; personal alarm sounds play from the selected file.

Group alarms and invitations

• Snooze an Answer as one alarm for the whole group and schedule its next ring on updated devices. Update every group device to 1.2.4 for the shared snooze to ring again everywhere.
• Reuse a group invitation link until its time limit expires.

Personal alarms and notifications

• Keep one-time alarms enabled when they are turned back on.
• Choose when upcoming alarm notifications appear, from 5 minutes to 12 hours before ringing. Changing the setting reschedules existing alarms and their early-dismiss window; notifications also appear immediately for alarms already inside that window.

Backups and installation

• Export clock data as JSON and import new-format Jay or Fossify Clock JSON backups.
• Older Jay ZIP backups cannot be imported into 1.2.4. New backups omit sound selections, so restored alarms and timers use their default sound.
• The 1.2.4 prerelease APKs have higher Android version codes than this stable release. Export a JSON backup before uninstalling a prerelease to install the stable APK.

Clock backup and restore

• Export personal alarms, saved timers, active personal timers, selected world clocks, clock settings, and selected sound files in one ZIP backup.
• Preserve normal and advanced alarm settings, including recurrence, label colors, sound, vibration, and snooze options. Preserve timer duration, label colors, sound, vibration, and add-time amounts.
• Merge imported clock items with existing items and apply the backed-up clock settings. Restore active timers paused at their saved remaining time.
• Keep the current Jay profile, groups, and shared data when importing a clock backup. Saved timer templates are restored without their group assignment.
• Exclude widgets and stopwatch state from backups, and preserve the current stopwatch time and laps when applying restored settings.
• Replace the previous alarm-only JSON and Fossify import with the ZIP backup format. Existing alarm-only JSON files are no longer supported.

Alarm sorting and countdowns

• Remember the selected alarm sort order and use Upcoming when no preference has been saved.
• Update an alarm's position immediately after dismissing its upcoming occurrence, while retaining the alarm list's scroll position.
• Keep visible countdowns and Dismiss buttons updated through one shared screen timer, and stop those updates while the screen is inactive.
• Recalculate time-dependent sorting each minute instead of sorting the full alarm list every second.

Group invitations and profile links

• Support group invitation and profile-import links in both Jay and Jay Lite, with Jay taking priority when both editions are installed.
• Exclude the Debug edition from production app-link handling.
• Preserve profile-import information when forwarding a link from Lite to Jay.
• Offer separate Jay and Jay Lite buttons when a link opens in the browser, with each edition's own Play Store listing as its fallback.
• Keep profile credentials in the link fragment rather than sending them to the link server.

Clock and interface improvements

• Align timer Scroll-picker separators with the selected numbers and add the missing separator between alarm hours and minutes.
• Align the stopwatch's separators and smaller hundredths, and resize the display to fit long hour counts.
• Restore analog widget tap handling on Android versions before 12 and simplify clock-face rendering.
• Update duration wording and translations, and remove obsolete resources.

Server configuration

• Publish app-link associations for the Full and Lite production packages using their configured signing-certificate fingerprints.
• Include the production certificate configuration in server/android-app-links.json and document the ANDROID_APP_LINKS setting.
• Deploy the updated link pages and association configuration alongside the Android update. No new database migration is included in this release.

• Filter alarms by label color and keep visible alarm countdown labels updated.

• Fix timer keypad overflow and right-to-left layout, and update timer progress correctly after adding a minute.
• Add confirmation when deleting alarms and update translations.

Distribution and server updates

• Publish full and Lite APKs and app bundles, plus the debug APK, for stable releases. Dev releases include all three APKs.
• Separate verified installation access from profile grants on the server. Existing operator grants are retained; previously profile-bound Play access requires verification by the updated paid app.
• Update the Android client and server together and apply the included database migration.

Privacy and profile deletion

• Add a Privacy policy link in Settings and document how Jay handles profile data, shared content, Firebase, audio storage, and retention.
• Clarify the Reset identity confirmation, including deletion of groups where the profile is the only leader, preservation of groups with another leader, and retention of personal clocks.
• Add instructions for requesting profile deletion without access to the app, including ownership verification and guidance for self-hosted servers.

Profile cleanup

• Use one retirement process for in-app resets, operator deletion, and inactive-profile cleanup. Retiring a profile disables its access and removes push subscriptions and shared-sound grants.
• Expand cleanup after the synchronization retention period to remove personal activity, invitations, membership records, delivery history, and operation receipts, and clear profile details and credentials.
• Preserve shared content in continuing groups while removing its references to the retired profile.
• Retain a minimal retired-profile record so old credentials and offline requests cannot recreate the profile.

Shared-sound access

• Add operator-managed profile grants for reviewer access, with commands to grant or revoke access.
• Allow granted profiles to share sounds without Play verification while retaining group editing permissions and server authorization checks.
• Protect operator grants from in-flight Play verification and exclude granted profiles from automatic inactivity cleanup. Explicit profile deletion still applies.

Server and release tooling

• Add a server command for deleting a verified profile and database migrations for access grants and completed profile cleanup.
• Include the version-specific release notes in published releases.
