Shared sounds
- Deliver custom shared sounds to other group devices, including Jay Lite, after syncing.
- Allow members with Play access or a profile grant to upload new shared sounds, while every member can receive and play them. Group editors can reuse sounds already uploaded to their group.
- Choose media files with an audio track the device can decode, including video files, as custom sounds. Jay converts shared sounds for delivery; personal alarm sounds play from the selected file.
Group alarms and invitations
- Snooze an Answer as one alarm for the whole group and schedule its next ring on updated devices. Update every group device to 1.2.4 for the shared snooze to ring again everywhere.
- Reuse a group invitation link until its time limit expires.
Personal alarms and notifications
- Keep one-time alarms enabled when they are turned back on.
- Choose when upcoming alarm notifications appear, from 5 minutes to 12 hours before ringing. Changing the setting reschedules existing alarms and their early-dismiss window; notifications also appear immediately for alarms already inside that window.
Backups and installation
- Export clock data as JSON and import new-format Jay or Fossify Clock JSON backups.
- Older Jay ZIP backups cannot be imported into 1.2.4. New backups omit sound selections, so restored alarms and timers use their default sound.
- The 1.2.4 prerelease APKs have higher Android version codes than this stable release. Export a JSON backup before uninstalling a prerelease to install the stable APK.
