Releases: Rjoande/KRILL
Release list
v0.3.2 | Follow the device
What's new:
Changed
- Career: no KRILL button until custom action groups are unlocked, like the stock action-group editor. In the VAB or SPH it follows that building's tier; in flight either building is enough. Keys pressed before then do nothing, without an on-screen message.
Fixed
- Two binds on the same key but with different modifiers are no longer reported as a conflict.
- Joystick buttons follow the device: Windows hands out joystick numbers in a different order from one launch to the next. Now a captured button is tied to the device's name (editable). Old bindings keep working by number until recaptured.
- Command/Apple keys (or LWin / RWin) are no longer recorded twice as modifiers.
v0.3.1 | Keys for extended axes
Each axis A5+ can have a plus and a minus key (keyboard key or joystick button, with modifiers allowed), like stock's custom axes. What a held key does depends on the axis kind: a Spring axis deflects to ±1 and springs back to rest on release, a Fixed axis moves at a configurable speed and stays where the key leaves it.
v0.3.0 | Extended axis groups
What's new:
- Virtual controller axes on top of stock's four custom axes, assignable per craft and per override set like extended groups.
- Analog read API for other mods.
Deleteduring any capture removes the bind.- Some minor fixes and performance.
See full changelog for details.
v0.2.0 | Groups reworked
What's new
- Three actuation kinds per extended group, per set: Pulse (fires once per press, as before), Toggle (keeps an on/off state, which you can also set by hand from the window) and Hold (active only while the key or the Trigger button is held, like stock Brakes).
- A clean on/off signal for other mods: every extended group now exposes a plain on/off level through a public read API, regardless of its kind. KRAB uses it to take a KRILL group as an input.
- Per-group Info/Caution/Warning label, stored now for the flight console that's still in the works.
- Fixed: a Hold group driven from the window's Trigger button with no key assigned stayed on after releasing the mouse.
- "Switch" is now called "Pulse". Old craft fall back to it automatically.
Known behaviour: a Hold group interrupted by a quicksave reads as off after loading, but the part keeps whatever state the save captured, same as stock Brakes held through a quicksave. The next press resyncs it.
See CHANGELOG for details.
v0.1.3 | Actuation kind
- Switch/Toggle/Hold actuation kind for extended groups: a per-group, per-set footer selector declaring how the group behaves. Switch (default) behaves exactly as before. Toggle groups expose a real, meaningful persisted state through a new public read API for other mods (e.g. KRAB) and through a manual "force state" control in the KRILL window, for resyncing after the real part state changes outside KRILL (another mod, ore the part's right-click menu) without firing the assigned action again. Hold groups stay active only while the key or the window's Trigger button is physically held, same idea as stock's own Brakes group.
v0.1.2 | IVA monitor framework
What's new:
- IVA monitor support via MFD Extension (bay D): if both mods are installed, KRILL gets a screen on any compatible multi-function display prop, reachable without leaving the cockpit. Purely additive: nothing changes if MFD Extended isn't installed.
v0.1.1 | Symmetric selection
What's new:
- Symmetric part selection: picking a part that has symmetry counterparts (e.g. one of 4 landing legs placed with 4x symmetry) now selects and assigns the whole group at once. Hover during "+ Part" previews the entire group in cyan, the persistent selection highlights all of them in blue, and the window shows a single card for the group instead of one row per physical part.
- Action picker hides already-assigned actions: the "+ Action" list no longer offers an action that's already assigned to the selected part for the current group and set.
v0.1.0 | First public release
Extends Kerbal Space Program's action groups past the stock 10-group limit, transparently. Extended groups work exactly like groups 1-10 always have: same 5 override sets, same activation semantics, same career gate.
Highlights
- Unlimited virtual action groups, configurable visible cap (20–99)
- Full symmetry with the 5 stock override sets
- Single 3-column window (VAB/SPH and flight) for groups, parts, and actions
- Global keymap with "press it now" capture; keyboard and joystick, layered modifiers
- Non-blocking conflict warnings
- Dedicated set-jump keys, independent of the currently active set
- English and Italian localization, full parity
Requirements: KSP 1.12.5, ModuleManager, ToolbarControl, and the stock "Action group sets" setting enabled.
See the README for installation and HOTAS configuration tips, and the CHANGELOG for full details.
