Dispatch v0.3.0
What's new
Variables behave more like Postman. Variables created by a script with pm.environment.set or pm.collectionVariables.set now appear in the collection, environment and globals editors, marked "Not shared yet". Before, they were saved but hidden. Persist current values copies current values into the shared ones so your team gets them when you save, and the collection Variables tab now has Persist and Reset buttons too.
Typing {{ in the URL bar, parameter tables or auth fields suggests variable names along with each one's value and scope. Hovering a field lists where every variable's value comes from, with secret values hidden. Dynamic variables go from 14 to about 100, including {{$randomCity}}, {{$randomIP}} and {{$randomCurrencyCode}}.
Comments in JSON bodies. Dispatch now strips // and /* */ comments from JSON bodies before sending, as Postman does. Previously the comments went to the server and could cause a 400 Bad Request. Beautify formats bodies that contain comments and keeps each comment where you wrote it.
Side-by-side layout. The new button next to Save, or ⌥⌘V, moves the response beside the request. Dispatch remembers the layout and where you left the divider.
Help with API keys. The connect screens walk through creating a Postman API key, with a button that opens Postman's API keys page. The full guide, covering expiry, the EU region and rejected keys, is in docs/postman-api-key.md. The EU region checkbox is back on the welcome screen.
