When exporting a mod, there are some ways of doing it, in this guide I am going to provide the most common way of exporting it
- When your mod is ready to be exported, go to the top of the unreal editor window and select "File" > "Cook Content for Windows"
- To package your mod you are gonna wanna use Unreal Pak
- To use Unreal Pak, download the Zip file in the releases tab, extract the files into a folder separate from your Project
- From there you create a new folder in the UnrealPak folder called "pakchunk#-MyModName" (# being what pak chunk your files are and MyModName being your mod's name) - if you made a logic mod, then you do not need "pakchunk#-" included in the name
- Then inside of that folder, create a new folder called "KINGDOM HEARTS III"
- Once that is done, open that folder and move your "Content folder" from "Saved" > "Cooked" > "WindowsNoEditor" > "TresGame" in there (you can select what files get packaged or not by going into your content folder and just simply removing them to prevent them from being cooked)
- After that is done, go back to the root UnrealPak folder and drag your mod folder into the exe, once finished you should see "pakchunk#-MyModName.pak"
- You should then be able to put that pak file into your GameDirectory > "KINGDOM HEARTS III" > "Content" > "Paks" folder (if you made a Logic Mod, create a folder in "Paks" called "LogicMods" and put your pak file in there
