Demo

A demo of the application is available at moodleassistant.azurewebsites.net. If you want to deploy the application on Azure, you can follow the official guide.

Deploy

First, clone the repository:

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/S0Ale/MoodleAssistant.git

Publish

Before you can publish the application, ensure you have the following tools installed:

Then you can run the following commands:

Blazor Server

# Ensure you are in the project's root directory
# Ensure you are in the 'master' branch
dotnet publish MoodleAssistant -c Release

The app is published in the MoodleAssistant/bin/Release/net8.0/publish folder. You can then deploy the content of this folder on the host. ATTENTION: A web server capable of hosting an ASP.NET Core app is required.

Blazor WebAssembly

# Ensure you are in the project's root directory
git checkout master-wasm # switch branch if needed
dotnet publish MoodleAssistant -c Release -o release

The app is published in the release folder that should've appeared in the root directory. You can then deploy the content of this folder on the host. The app will be served as static files. Any static file server is able to serve the app.

Docker

Before you begin, you need to have Docker installed. If you do not know Docker please see the official guide.

To create a Docker container for the application, follow these steps:

# Ensure you are in the project's root directory
git checkout master-wasm # DO THIS TO DEPLOY THE WASM-VERSION
cd MoodleAssistant
docker compose up --build

This will build and run the Docker container. You can access the app at http://localhost:5000.
