Multiple users on one Mac

  • ShareMount now only looks at the shares the signed-in user mounted. With fast user switching it no longer shows another user's mounts as connected or tries to unmount them.
  • If another user already uses /Volumes/Name, your share is mounted at Name-1 without a warning or a path fix.
  • Updates work from any account: if the app belongs to another user, macOS asks for an administrator password. The app keeps its owner.
  • When one user installs an update, ShareMount restarts by itself for the other signed-in users. Mounts stay connected.
  • While your session is in the background, the update window waits until you switch back.
