PC Actor
The player character actor will be the main document a player interfaces with. It can hold both system mechanical informations and custom background information for the specific character.
The header shows the basic character information such as portrait, name, traits, story and archetype aswell as the current wounds the character has.
The story can not be set directly from the character sheet, instead the character actor has to be dropped onto a story sheet by the host to connect it.
The archetype automatically offers all unpicked archetypes the story contains. Alternatively an archetype item can be dropped onto the sheet to add an external archetype. To remove such an archetype hover over it in the header and click the "x".
The wound bar at the top right symbolises the current health state of the PC. Normal unfilled wounds be displayed in white, omen dice (i.e. taken wounds) will be displayed in red and safe dice gained from "cheat death" will be displayed in black. The face will match the dice that caused the state.
Not the small bordered box below. This box will only show up if the host hovers the wound and is mainly intended for the host to edit erroneous states or set special rule cases manually. From left to right, the symbol can add omen dice (wounds), safe dice (cheat death), or remove the last dice set into the wound bar.
The character tab includes the aspects, perks and gears of the character. Most of the following things can only be edited while the story is in prologue and will be locked once act I starts.
Here a player can set their aspect ratings for both the core and the story aspects. The target numbers (TN) will be updated automatically. For each aspect the strain can be set or removed. In case of the story aspects one aspects will automatically be set to "Great" depending on the chosen archetype. The names of the story aspects will be set the moment the PC is added to a story.
Here the perks can be picked. Eventhough the maximum of pickable perks is displayed at the top, the maximum is not automatically enforced. Once a perk is picked a black "Use" button will appear behind the description including the number of uses left, assuming the perk has maximum number of uses per story or act. A host can restore uses by hovering the use button and clicking the "+". Perks that are not picked will be hidden once the story is no longer in the prologue.
External perks can also be added here via drag & drop and removed using the "x" next to the name that appears when hovering the perk.
Active effects of perks only affect a PC if they are picked and have uses left.
At the top the player can select the optional gear they want to pick. The respective item will automatically be added to the inventory at the bottom or be removed when the gear is selected or the selection is removed. This section will be hidden once the story leaves the prologue.
At the bottom the inventory is shown. Items can be added by using the "+" in the title or by drag & dropping items onto the sheet. Gear can be broken or repaired using the symbols to the right or removed using the "x". The gear sheet can be opened by clicking the name or posted to the sheet using the chat bubble symbol that show up when hovering the name.
The background tab allows for notes and texts regarding the ongoing story to be saved. Most fields allow for enriched text, so you could for example write inline checks, include images or refer to NPCs by drag & dropping their actor here.
All fields execept the note will snychronise to the corresponding archetype background fields, when an archetype is chosen.
This field is intended for the basic archetype specific informations a character should have about the story
This field should contain some basic archetype specific goals the character might have in this story
A field the player can freely edit to take notes during the story. Its height can be freely adjusted.
This field should contain some text to help the player build their character. This is the only field in the background tab that can only be edited by the host. It will vanish once the story start.
The background tab also includes a field to describe the relation to the other archetypes this story includes. These fields should help the player gain a first idea of how their character might work with the other characters.
