ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.9.5
What's new in v1.9.5
Corrects a packaging fault in 1.9.4. The dashboard carried inside the data file was stamped with a version five releases old, while the copy published on the web carried the right one, so the two were not the identical files 1.9.4 said they were. Everything in 1.9.4 works; this makes the two copies genuinely the same, and adds a check that fails the build if they ever diverge again.
1.9.4 itself brought the following, and all of it stands:
The Experience card tracks base and job separately. Each has its own percentage, its own current and required exp, its own remaining count and its own time to level, because they advance at different rates and one of them is often already at its cap.
A level at its cap now reads MAX. The server reports "no next level" as a requirement of nine hundred quadrillion, and taken at face value that produced a bar stuck at 0.00%, a remaining count in the quintillions and a time to level of roughly 381 million years.
The dashboard served on your own PC is now the same dashboard published on the web. There used to be a separate, older copy built into the program, so a phone on the public page and a browser on the overlay's address were running different software. The app manifest, the service worker and the app icon all differed too.
The dashboard travels in the data file rather than inside the program, so improvements to it can be delivered as a small data update instead of a whole new download.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.9.4
What's new in v1.9.4
The Experience card now tracks base and job separately.
The overlay was printing that number for any character with a maxed job.
The dashboard the overlay serves on your own PC is now the same dashboard that is published on the web. It used to carry a separate, older copy built into the program, so a phone loading the public page and a browser loading the overlay's address were running different software and a fix to one never reached the other. Two smaller differences went with it: the app manifest and service worker disagreed between the two, and the app icon was missing entirely from the local one.
The dashboard now travels in the data file rather than inside the program. Improvements to it can be delivered as a small data update instead of a whole new download.
Magic and skill damage are recorded correctly, and multi-hit skills are reported the way the game shows them, from the previous update.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.9.3
What's new in v1.9.3
The phone dashboard stopped being able to find the PC the longer the PC had been running, which is the "finding PC" that came back after everything seemed fine. Three separate faults were feeding each other.
The dashboard asked the relay for every announcement it still held rather than for recent ones. After one nine-hour session that was 2,532 messages and 645 KB, which a phone on mobile data could not download inside the three seconds it allowed itself. It now asks for the last half hour and gives the answer eight seconds to arrive.
The PC announced itself every ten seconds for as long as it ran whenever no dashboard had ever connected to it, which is exactly the situation when a phone is failing to connect. That is what built the pile the phone then choked on, so each hour of failure made the next attempt more certain to fail. It now announces quickly only when its address has just changed or a dashboard is genuinely reading it, and settles to once every ten minutes otherwise.
A tunnel that connected but never reported its address was waited on forever. The connection stays alive on its own keepalives, so nothing timed out and nothing retried: the PC sat there reachable by nobody, for as long as it was left running. It now gives up after a minute and builds a fresh tunnel, and it reads the address off the line that announces it rather than expecting one fixed domain name.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.9.2
What's new in v1.9.2
Combat metrics were blank for casters. Every number a Magician, Priest or any other skill-based character put on screen went uncounted: damage dealt, best hit and DPS all read zero for an entire session while the character was killing things perfectly well. Only ordinary melee attacks were ever counted.
Damage taken was blank for everyone, for the same reason, and now reads correctly.
Multi-hit skills are now reported the way the game shows them. A ten-bolt Fire Bolt that does 8,080 damage counts 8,080 towards the session total and 808 as the best hit, because 808 is the number that appeared over the monster. The old reading would have claimed a best hit nobody ever saw.
Released builds are now timestamped when they are signed. They were not, because a self-signed certificate always reports its chain as untrusted and the build read that as the timestamp having failed, then re-signed the file and stripped the good timestamp back off. Without one, a signature stops verifying the day the certificate expires.
The published dashboard now carries the version it was released with instead of whatever was last typed into it by hand.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.9.1
What's new in v1.9.1
Fixes the phone dashboard losing its connection mid-session and failing to find the PC again after the browser is closed and reopened.
The overlay now keeps a connection open for the dashboard instead of opening a new one for every reading. Opening one per reading, several times a second for hours, is what wore out the remote tunnel and took the phone offline while the PC carried on running normally.
On the phone, every request now has a deadline and only one is in flight at a time, so a slow mobile connection can no longer stall the page into a frozen snapshot. Waking the screen or rejoining a network refreshes immediately instead of waiting out a timer.
The pairing link is now read once and remembered. Reopening it from a bookmark or history used to send the phone back to the address the PC was at when the QR code was drawn, which is rarely where it still is.
The PC now keeps telling the relay where it is on a slow heartbeat rather than going quiet after a few minutes, so a phone that has been away for hours can still find it with nothing but the room code and PIN.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.9.0
What's new in v1.9.0
Three separate storages, searching your bags by what an item rolled, and a market index that stops showing shops that are not there.
- Storage — the server runs two Kafra storages of 600 slots each plus the guild's, and they are three separate containers. The Storage tab now has a row for each, labelled with the name the game draws on the window, and opening one no longer empties the tab holding another. The tab reopens on whichever storage you looked at last.
- Storage after a relog — switching characters no longer leaves the Storage tab blank until you walk back to a Kafra.
- Search your bags by what an item rolled — the search box on the Items tab now matches random options as well as names and item IDs, so typing
critorcastingfinds the piece. Underneath it you can ask for up to three options at once, each with its own minimum roll. Order never matters: asking for ATK then CRI finds exactly what asking for CRI then ATK finds. It works on your inventory, your cart and all three storages. - Market map — shops you walked past were being filed under the town you had warped in from, so a market's own map page could be empty while a town showed hundreds of shops that were not there. The map a shop is recorded on now comes from the same place the rest of the overlay gets it.
- Market: shops that have closed — the index kept drawing shops nobody had seen for up to a week, most of them carrying no prices at all. Shops nobody has seen in a day are now retired, and retired shops are no longer drawn on the map. Retiring is reversible: a shop that is really still standing comes back the next time anyone walks past it.
- Your class — a character could pick up the job of a stranger who changed clothes nearby, and wear it for the rest of the session. A Magician showing as a Wizard is fixed, and corrects itself on your next login.
- See what the overlay reads — the Setup tab carries a live feed of the names of the packets going past, newest first, updating while you play. It never keeps a payload: the tap takes the packet's id and nothing else.
- Market contribution — a session spent walking a market could record nothing at all. Fixed, along with the credentials and update handling hardened in the previous release.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.8.0
What's new in v1.8.0
Contribute vending prices to a community market index.
New in 1.8.0 - the overlay can now share what it sees in a market with a public price index at https://samuel23.github.io/roz_market/
- Opt in, off by default. Nothing is uploaded until you tick 'Contribute anonymous market prices to community index' in the Setup tab. Untick it and uploading stops immediately.
- What is sent: the shop's account id, its title and map position, and the items and prices it is offering. Nothing that names your character, and nothing about your own inventory, zeny or location.
- How it collects: the same passive read of your own game traffic the overlay already does. It never touches the game client, and it never makes the client send anything - walking past a shop, clicking one, or using a Vending Search Scroll is all it needs.
- Store Assistant shops now report how long their rental has left, so the index can tell a shop that expired from one that sold out.
The index shows how many people independently reported each price, and the time it was seen. It is only as good as the number of players walking markets, so if you already spend time in Prontera's market, ticking the box costs you nothing and makes it better for everyone.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.7.2
What's new in v1.7.2
Equipment now says which slot it goes in.
- A shield is no longer tagged a weapon. A Buckler sat in the Equip list wearing the same red WEAPON badge as an axe. The badge was decided by "is it worn in either hand", and a shield is worn in one of them.
- Ten tags instead of three.
ARMORhad been standing in for six different places you can wear something. Items are now labelled by their actual slot - WEAPON, SHIELD, ARMOR, HEADGEAR, GARMENT, SHOES, ACCESSORY, AMMO, plus COSTUME and SHADOW, which previously shared one badge. A two-handed weapon is still a weapon, and a dagger held in the off hand is still a weapon.
The colours have not changed - one for weapons, one for everything else you wear - so only the words are new.
This is a dashboard change. If you use the phone dashboard it is already live and this build is not needed for it; the overlay's own window carries its own copy of the dashboard, and this is how that copy gets the same fix.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.7.1
What's new in v1.7.1
Five fixes on top of v1.7.0.
- Event announcements read as words again. Some server announcements carry no text - the body is a short code your client looks up in its own table to draw the sentence. The overlay was publishing the code, so an event arrived in the chat log as
SA0Dinstead of "Transform into Smokie!". Those announcements were also being given a colour taken from a field that is not a colour, so their text could come out tinted by an account number. - Random options on the phone. The published dashboard fetched its option names before it knew which overlay to ask, took the failure, and never asked again - so options on the phone stayed
Opt #170: +5while the overlay had the name. It now asks once the connection is up, and again if you point it at a different PC. - Telegram drop alerts repeated their own icon: "CARD DROP" arrived with the card emoji twice. Discord was never affected.
- The alerts window cut off its own description line at both ends. It wraps now.
- The Active Buffs heading on the dashboard spread
( 5 )across the whole card instead of reading(5).
Nothing else changed. If v1.7.0 is working for you, this is worth taking but not urgent.

ROZ Overlay & Real-Time Telemetry Companion v1.7.0
What's new in v1.7.0
- Status effects. Every buff and debuff on your character now shows with its real name, its icon and a live countdown - on the overlay and on the dashboard, where a tooltip carries the full description. The names and icons are read out of your own game client, so they match what you see in game.
- New on the dashboard: your full stat sheet, a skill list with icons and a search filter, a party panel, and which way your character is facing on the minimap with an optional trail of where you have walked.
- Chat survives a restart. The day's chat, shouts and announcements come back when you reopen the overlay, kept per character and per day, and yesterday is filed at midnight rather than mixed into today. The same archive is readable under History on the dashboard, by channel and by character.
- Random options read correctly everywhere. The dashboard used to carry its own short list of option names, so a level 4 weapon showed lines like
Opt #170: +10and some options disagreed with the overlay. It now reads the same complete table the overlay does - there is no longer such a thing as an unknown option, in a chat link or in your inventory. - No Administrator prompt unless it is really needed. The overlay tries to read the connection first and only asks if every method has been refused; with Npcap installed without its "Administrators only" option it never asks at all. A Restart as Administrator button in Setup is there for the PCs that do need it.
- Updates are signed, and reversible. The update manifest now carries a signature the app checks before it reads anything out of it, and an install that cannot be completed puts the previous version back rather than leaving you with neither.
- Your dashboard PIN, pairing key and any Discord or Telegram webhook are now encrypted in the settings file, tied to your Windows account.
- Crash fixes. Opening equipment storage used to stop the overlay updating at all; a costume or job change on someone standing near you could throw; a saved tab that a build does not have stopped the window from appearing; and a data file that does not match the program now says so by name instead of showing a bare decompression error. Anything uncaught now reaches the log and is reported once.
- Every message reader is now run against real recorded traffic, and against truncated input, before a build can go out - it found two of the fixes above.
