Empty cache
Functionality
When a product is accessed on the viewer, the response from the API is cached (a copy is saved in memory) and will, from now on, be returned for the same query.
When we publish a product, we empty the cache for that product. This means that the next request from the viewer will get fresh data from our database.
There are some cases when we need to “adjust” a live product in the tech team and we want to see the change without republishing, therefore we need a way to empty the cache. This is why you can select a product and pick the action “empty cache”.
