Smoother Minecraft, measured.

On an RTX 2060 PC, flying over new terrain went from 651 to 807 FPS (+24%) and the slowest moments got 35% better, so fewer stutters. Standing still the gain is small. Full test: https://vanillax.pages.dev/vanillax#fps

New:

  • Performance mods: Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, MoreCulling and Dynamic FPS are added when you press Play. You can switch them off in Settings if the game ever will not start.
  • Graphics presets: Potato, Balanced and Quality in Settings, one click each.
  • Laptops with two graphics cards get an option to run Minecraft on the fast one.
  • Settings shows how much memory is recommended for your PC.
  • Minimise launcher while playing now works (it used to do nothing).
