Demo Guide
Welcome to the TerraPrime Demo Usage Guide! This guide provides comprehensive information on navigating and utilizing the various features of the TerraPrime demo maps in Unreal Engine. The demo includes three distinct maps designed to showcase different capabilities of TerraPrime.
The TerraPrime demo includes the following maps, each tailored to demonstrate specific features:
- Description: Utilizes default UE 2K open world settings with enhancements for added elevation and depth, creating varied terrains from mountains to seabeds.
- Features: Uses stock TerraPrime 2K textures on a non-Nanite landscape, ideal for basic testing and performance assessments.
- Description: Mirrors the Open World Basic map but with a Nanite-enabled landscape to showcase the improvements and capabilities of UE's Nanite system.
- Features: Demonstrates how TerraPrime interacts with Nanite landscapes, offering a glimpse into high-detail terrain rendering.
- Description: Expands upon the Open World Nanite map by incorporating TerraPrime's auto-layer landscape grass system.
- Features: Includes demo meshes for different terrains (e.g., seaweed for seabed, coral for beach, green grass for grass areas, dead grass for dirt, animal skulls for cliffs, and dead snowy tree stumps for snow). The distribution of these elements is significantly increased for demonstration purposes.

- N: Toggle Nanite tessellation on or off to observe changes in landscape detail dynamically.
- Flight Component: The demo uses a dynamic flight system from the Unreal Engine Marketplace, specifically Dynamic Flight with Blueprints, enabling quick and easy exploration of the demo worlds.
- Character Details: The character model in the demo is imported from Reallusion's Character Creator 4, with animations retargeted using UE 5.4's new auto retargeting rig.
This demo is an excellent resource for understanding how TerraPrime can enhance your Unreal Engine projects, providing hands-on experience with its various textures and materials, as well as integration with advanced UE features like Nanite.
