v0.5.71 — mirror of ShowPilot v0.33.232: Tools → Audio Normalizer

  • New Tools section with an Audio Normalizer: makes every song equally loud by measured loudness (LUFS), not peak level. Pick songs from FPP's music folder or upload them; download the fixed files, or send them straight back into FPP's music folder (Restore original available).
  • One fixed gain per song (mix untouched), target -14 LUFS by default, peaks under -1.5 dBTP, optional gentle 4x-oversampled limiter for quiet songs with sharp peaks. Same file names, format, length, sample rate, tags and cover art; timing verified sample-accurate.
  • Runs on the FPP host only when an admin starts it, one song at a time at the lowest CPU priority, using FPP's own ffmpeg. Best run while the show is off.
  • Standalone tool, not part of the audio pipeline (the operator's exception to Lite's no-audio rule). ffmpeg added to the dev Dockerfile.
  • PRIMER.md and CLAUDE.md updated.
