P5RFieldTexUtility v1.3.0
Changelog:
Bump version to 1.3, redesign form, simplify usage
Current Features
- Drag/drop to extract and repack all P5R texture
.BINsin a folder - Use the Utilities dropdown to:
- Replace all .DDS files in a folder (and its subfolders) with ones from your custom texture folder that have the same filename
- This is useful for quickly replacing multiple textures that have the same filename across multiple extracted .BINs
- Collect unique textures from a folder (and its subfolders) and copy them to a new folder
- This can help you narrow down all of the unique files you can edit from a folder containing multiple extracted .BINs without worrying about duplicates
- Isolate files that don't match the filenames of your custom textures
- This can be useful for finding unedited textures after replacing with your custom textures, or for removing them when using Reloaded-II's PAK Emulator
- Replace all .DDS files in a folder (and its subfolders) with ones from your custom texture folder that have the same filename
All other previous settings have been removed due to redundancy.
P5RFieldTexUtility v1.2.1
- Logic for replacing existing duplicates with the same name is now "If file doesn't exist OR option is checked, replace. Otherwise skip."
- The old logic was "If file exists AND option is unchecked, skip replacing. Otherwise replace." Not sure why this wouldn't be sufficient, but this way seems extra safe.
- Also using the settings object now for checking these conditions rather than whether the checkboxes are checked or not.
- Bumped version to 1.2.1.
P5RFieldTexUtility v1.2
- Bin Export Path, Duplicate Export Path, and Options Checkbox values now saved to Config.json when updated
- Config.json settings loaded and applied when program starts
P5RFieldTexUtility v1.1
Changes in v1.1
-
Removed "Input Folder" selection from Files dropdown (didn't do anything)
-
Added "Dupes Output Folder" selection to Files dropdown (allows you to change it after the first time you select it when replacing dupes)
-
Added options:
- Ignore Binary Differences for Duplicates
- Replace Existing Dupes w/ Same Name
- Ignore File Name Differences (off by default, will replace everything if Ignore Binary Differences isn't on)
- Enable Output Log
Disabling the output log should make the program extract/replace things a little faster since it's not also writing to the textbox every single time.
Using the other new settings should enable you to replace existing duplicates in your selected output folder, as well as replace files even if their names/binaries don't match. This may improve productivity in some situations.
P5RFieldTexUtility v1.0
Features
- Choose an Export folder from
File > Choose Export Folderor else it will default to.\Export. - Drag P5R Texture .BIN files onto the button and the contents should be extracted to your chosen Export Folder.
- Click
Replace Duplicates...to choose a destination for duplicate files (this might beMODEL/FIELD_TEX/TEXTURESin your PAK emulator folder) - When prompted, select the file(s) you want to replace (edited
.DDSimages). They should be output to your chosen destination folder in folders named after the .BINs duplicates are found in. - Optionally, click
Repack .BINsif you want to use.BINfiles instead of the PAK Emulator for any reason.
For Best Results
- Use DXT5 format when saving .DDS
- Keep filenames the same as the original texture or it won't output in a way that replaces the original
- Keep image dimensions to multiples of 4 or else the game will crash trying to load your textures.
