What's new

  • Added an optional full-screen album-cover screensaver with track, time, date, nameday and weather information.
  • Improved multilingual Last.fm matching for punctuation, Unicode dashes and quotes, Cyrillic case, trailing technical IDs and multiple semicolon-separated artists.
  • Increased the accepted cover-image size to 512 KB while retaining PSRAM-backed storage and cooperative network handling.
  • Added configurable backlight PWM frequency and Wi-Fi TX power defaults for sensitive hardware.
  • Added optional BTN_MODE and BTN_RGB controls for source switching, LED strip enable/disable and effect selection.
  • Kept RGB VU animation active during playback screensavers and added Bluetooth VU input.
  • Improved WEB, SD, DLNA and Bluetooth transitions by coordinating decoder, I2S bridge and remote-source pause state.
  • Corrected FLAC sample-buffer reuse, gen4-ESP32-35CT landscape orientation and hardware configuration examples.

The full-screen cover screensaver and most non-Bluetooth improvements in this release were contributed or proposed by Volodimyr Zagranichniy. Many thanks for his careful development, testing and continued refinement.
